Modello: 38,1 cm SUPER DECAL - ISTRUZIONI A COLORI Il primo novembre del 1956 nasceva la componente aerea del Reparto Sperimentale Volo dell’Aeronautica Militare Italiana. Il reparto, altamente specializzato, venne identificato con il distintivo numerico “311°”. Per celebrare i sessant’ anni di attività è stata sviluppata, per un Tornado IDS del Reparto, una speciale livrea che ha riscosso un grande interesse ed è stata particolarmente apprezzata durante la manifestazione commemorativa dell’ ottobre 2016. Il 311mo Gruppo Volo costituisce oggi uno dei centri sperimentali aeronautici tecnologicamente più avanzati ed è formato da personale altamente preparato e qualificato. Il Tornado IDS, nato da un programma di collaborazione tra Italia, Gran Bretagna e Germania per lo sviluppo di un aereo d’attacco durante gli anni ’70, è stato prodotto in quasi 1.000 esemplari dimostrando le sue straordinarie capacità operative ed aeronautiche. Modello: 20,1 cm SUPER DECAL PER OGNI AEREO DELLA PATTUGLIA ACROBATICA Il Northrop F-5 nacque negli anni sessanta per soddisfare le necessità di molti Paesi appartenenti alla NATO che richiedevano un caccia multiruolo semplice, economico e di facile manutenzione. All’inizio degli anni settanta venne sviluppata la versione migliorata, denominata F-5E Tiger II, che si caratterizzava per l’adozione dei nuovi propulsori General Electric J85 in grado di fornire una spinta decisamente superiore. Rispetto ai primi F-5, il Tiger II ha una fusoliera più allungata, maggiore autonomia operativa ed un’avionica ottimizzata per adempiere al ruolo primario di caccia da difesa aerea. L’armamento di base è costituito da due cannoni da 20 mm., installati nel muso sotto la cabina, e dalla possibilità di utilizzare svariate combinazioni di missili aria-aria. L’F-5E ha avuto un grande successo commerciale. E’ stato inoltre prodotto su licenza in Corea del Sud, Taiwan e Svizzera, dove nel 1995 fu scelto come velivolo dalla pattuglia acrobatica nazionale “Patrouille Suisse”. Per saperne di più -

The new item depicts a Curtiss SB2C Helldiver, a carrier-based dive-bomber widely used by the US Navy (USN) during WWII. The twin-seat SB2C was roundly criticized for its handling characteristics, range and reliability, but nevertheless it achieved good results in combat after improvements were made during the course of production. It participated in such battles as Rabaul, the Marianas, the Philippines, Taiwan, Iwo Jima, the Ryuku Islands and Okinawa. One of its strengths was the ability to carry a significant amount of munitions, plus it featured an internal bomb bay. Some 7,140 Helldivers were manufactured, but the variant portrayed in this kit is the SB2C-4, numerically the most common type. Introduced in mid-1944, the SB2C-4 incorporated perforated dive flaps and wing racks for eight 5-inch rockets or 1,000lb bombs. More than 2,000 SB2C-4 Helldivers were produced by Curtiss, and it was more successful than earlier variants. This is in fact the very first 1/72 scale item in Cyber-Hobby’s refined Wing-Tech series, and it broadens the scope of successful 1/32 and 1/48 items already available. As such, the SB2C-4 employs high-tech innovations and widely uses slide molds. This enables excellent levels of detail and easy construction. Panel lines are sharply etched into the plastic components. Furthermore, as a carrier-based aircraft, modelers can choose to show the wings folded or extended according to their preference, plus the landing gear can be displayed either lowered or raised. The cockpit is full of detail as well, all of which can be shown to fullest extent if the canopy is left open. The Helldiver was the last dive-bomber operated by the USN, but it was also the most widely produced in history. Now, thanks to Cyber-Hobby, modelers can get a slice of Pacific war action!
