SD.KFZ.140 FLAKPZ.GEPARD This mobile anti aircraft weapon was made for the German army in 1943 to provide battlefield protection for their forces subject to sustained attack by enemy planes. The vehicle was developed, based on the 38T tank chassis, of Czechoslovakian origin already widely employed as the basis for reconnaissance and mobile artillery units. The Gepard carried a 2cm cannon, FLAK 38 and although well armed did not alone deliver the amount of fire needed to protect a location under attack and so it was necessary to deploy them in groups for effective defence. Total production amounted to 140 before manufacture ceased in early 1944. Per saperne di più

The hologram includes the sequence number assigned to each box as a guarantee of limited edition. Coiceived at the outbreak of World War Two, the Cruseder was one of the main British "Cruiser" tanks and reached production of no less that 5.000 units. Fitted with Cristie suspensions and large roadwheels the Cruseder performed remarkable cross-country capabilities and was armed with a 6 pdr. gun replacing the less powerful 2 pdr. gun of the previous verions. The Crusader played a leading role in the North African Campaign and took part to the battle of El Alamein, where 300 tanks fought with good avail. Later on, it was operational in the European theatre as a command, recovery and AA tanks as well as an artillery tractor, variants which were based on this classic tank basic hull. Per saperne di più

The Sherman first saw combat in North Africa in late 1942 against the Panzer III and Panzer IV. They would go on to be used on all fronts until the War's end. Staghound MK I late version Italeri Type: Military vehicles Period: Second World War Country: Great Britain Skill: 3 Model Dim.: 15,9 cm PHOTO ETCHED FRET - METAL GUN BARREL The Staghound armoured car was conceived in the US at the start of WW2, based on a British specification which required a wheeled reconnaissance vehicle with a high level of protection, therefore armour plated, well-armed, and highly mobile. The Chevrolet design proposed a large armoured car which, following an extended programme of assessment and testing, went into production in late 1942, too late to be sent to British forces engaged in North Africa. Allied forces were to receive the Staghound in the Spring of 1943 and they were used in the Italian campaign by British and Polish armies In spite of the impressive performance of this vehicle it was not adopted by the US army and so the 3,000 units produced were used solely by British and Commonwealth forces. Post war the Staghound was widely issued to the new European armies where some examples were in use into the 1970s. Per saperne di più
