Dragon’s new 1/35 scale model of the Sturm-Infanteriegeschutz 33 completes the ‘33B’ family. A new part is the front plate with its two associated hatches. It shares the same slide-molded fighting compartment superstructure, internal details such as the mount for the sIG33 gun, and large stowage boxes on the rear deck. The metal gun barrel even has realistic rifling so that it looks exactly right. The running gear and DS Tracks have been borrowed from Dragon’s newest Panzer III kits, meaning they’re of the highest quality. The story is set in the Eastern Front in the Fall of 1943 and portrays the main character Oblt.Ernst von Bauer and his force Wehrmacht 8th Tank Company which is called "Black Knight". In the winter of 1943, the Black Knight lost their five "Panzerkampfwagen IV" during the battle against the Soviet force's T34s but luckily they found six "Panther As" and fought back against the Soviet force. These six Panther As displayed the courage and power of the Black Knight. This Panther A is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit. The forms are accurately detailed. The gun barrel and side skirt are made of metal parts. Photo etched parts are provided for some small details. The Black Knight's emblems can be reproduced by decals. Dragon has already produced several 1/35 scale 1-ton Sd.Kfz.10 halftracks in plastic and these have been gladly received by modelers. This new kit from Dragon is the most potent version yet, thanks to the inclusion of the 5cm cannon. Indeed, this kit is an excellent hybrid that mates the delightful Sd.Kfz.10 halftrack with Dragon’s legendary 5cm PaK 38 anti-tank gun. The entire gun mount is completely new to suit this vehicle, plus the halftrack interior has been modified accordingly. The folded hoops for the roof are also brand new. The kit includes three armor elements for the hood, grill and windshield to perfectly recreate original vehicles.
