Known as the Neubau-Fahrzeug (“New Construction Vehicle”), it was not a success. Slow-moving and boasting multiple turrets, it was ill equipped for the type of rapid, mobile warfare that Blitzkrieg tactics required. For this reason, only five Neubau-Fahrzeug heavy tanks were built. The first two prototypes were manufactured by Rheinmetall-Borsig (Rh-B) in 1934 out of mild steel. Armament included a 7.5cm KwK L/24 main gun, 3.7cm KwK L/45 cannon and two 7.92mm machine guns. Dragon has already produced two 1/72 scale kits of the Neubau-Fahrzeug that cover vehicle numbers 1 and 3-5. Now comes the final vehicle – Nr.2, a prototype that was used in a training school until its retirement in 1940. The kit includes a number of brand new parts that allow modelers to build this specific vehicle. While the turret looks similar to Nr.3, in fact it’s different, as evidenced by details such as the pattern of rivets on the top plate. The smaller turret is a new tooling as well, with its own distinctive shape. The exhaust pipes on the right fender are also unique to this prototypical vehicle. The entire upper hull is made from a single piece of while the intricate road wheels are assembled as one piece. With the release of this final kit in the family, modelers can now own the complete set of Neubau-Fahrzeug! Per saperne di più

  6. Flakpanzer 341 mit 2cm Flakvierling
    20,00 €

Features: New 2cm MG 151/20 Flak cannons can be adjusted to different elevations Hollow cannon muzzles Delicate cupola molded on Flakpanzer 341 Detailed design for rear plate and stowage boxes Engine deck w/delicate details Armored side skirts reproduced Slide-molded upper hull w/full detail Intricate road wheels One-piece DS tracks At the start of WWII the Luftwaffe ruled the skies, but this dominance was gradually overturned as the war progressed. This led to a dire need for more antiaircraft vehicles for ground forces, and early efforts at producing a Flakpanzer centered on utilizing the Panzer IV chassis. However, the famous German Panther medium tank was also used as a platform for developmental work, with the Coelian perhaps being the best-known example. In May 1943, a proposed Rheinmetall design showed two pairs of Vierling MG151/20 antiaircraft cannons mounted in a Turm Panther II. This turret was heavily armored and it featured the pairs of cannons offset from each other and mounted at different heights. This Flakpanther 341 mit 2cm Flakvierling design never advanced much further…except in terms of Dragon’s superb new 1/72 scale plastic kit! The kit uses the finely detailed chassis of previous kits, to which are added a brand new turret and flak cannons. Parts fit together accurately, as is to be expected of Dragon’s high engineering standards. Although this particular antiaircraft vehicle never entered production, it makes for a fascinating modeling subject that gives plenty of scope for customization and creativity. For starters, it can be painted in an intriguing camouflage scheme! Per saperne di più
  7. PZ.KPFW.II AUSF. F
    14,00 €

PZ.KPFW.II AUSF. F The Panzer II was designed in 1934 to meet the need of the Wehrmacht to dispose of a light tank. Supplied with a 140 Hp Maybach engine installed at the rear, it was capable of reaching a maximum speed of 40 Km/h, with autonomy of 200 Km. The armament was made up of a 20 mm small cannon and a colossal 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun mounted on the turret. Its light armour never allowed it, during World War II, to be used widely as a combat tank, quickly overcome by the more armed and armoured Pz.Kpfw. III and IV. However its elevated manoeuvrability made it ideal for roles of advanced exploration. In fact it was used during the whole conflict by the German armoured divisions as a reconnaissance tank and for infantry support. Per saperne di più
