Now Dragon is expanding the family with a brand new kit of the Sd.Kfz.263 built to an identical scale. The Sd.Kfz.263 was part of Germany’s successful 8-Rad (“eight-wheel”) Schwerer Panzerspa"hwagen (“heavy armored reconnaissance vehicle”) family. The 9.1-tonne Sd.Kfz.263 was designated a Funkspa"hwagen, a radio car, and as such it accommodated extra long-range radio equipment inside the fixed superstructure. It was used by reconnaissance units and had a top road speed of 85km/h. As well as a telescopic antenna, a large frame antenna was fitted above the superstructure to aid communications with headquarters and to help coordinate fighting units. Unlike the Sd.Kfz.232 on which it was based and that was armed with a 20mm cannon, this vehicle’s only armament was a 7.92mm MG34 machine gun. It operated with a crew of five, including two dedicated radio operators. Only 240 Sd.Kfz.263 vehicles were produced, but one of its most famous users was Erwin Rommel. Dragon has produced a brand new tooling for the upper hull of this 1/72 scale plastic kit. The complex item with multi-faceted plates is made as a single piece thanks to the employment of CAD drawings and high-tech slide-molding techniques. This ensures that modelers have an accurate and easy-to-assemble hull on which to base their miniature masterpiece. The Sd.Kfz.263 model also features a new one-piece frame antenna that is finely produced in scale. The unique shape of this 8x8 armored vehicle is beautifully captured, allowing modelers to operate Dragon’s Sd.Kfz.263 and Sd.Kfz.232 in tandem at the forefront of an early-war Per saperne di più

  3. PZ.KPFW.II AUSF. F
    14,00 €

PZ.KPFW.II AUSF. F The Panzer II was designed in 1934 to meet the need of the Wehrmacht to dispose of a light tank. Supplied with a 140 Hp Maybach engine installed at the rear, it was capable of reaching a maximum speed of 40 Km/h, with autonomy of 200 Km. The armament was made up of a 20 mm small cannon and a colossal 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun mounted on the turret. Its light armour never allowed it, during World War II, to be used widely as a combat tank, quickly overcome by the more armed and armoured Pz.Kpfw. III and IV. However its elevated manoeuvrability made it ideal for roles of advanced exploration. In fact it was used during the whole conflict by the German armoured divisions as a reconnaissance tank and for infantry support. Per saperne di più
  4. M4 Sherman 75mm Normandy
    50,00 €

    Non disponibile

The M4 variant, powered by a Continental radial engine and armed with a 75mm main gun, was deployed by American, British, Polish and Canadian units. This broad range of users in the tense battles for Normandy opens up new possibilities for modelers of this kit. This exciting new release, the first from Dragon in 2009, shows a welded-hull variant. This kit has received many new parts and extensive retooling to accurately replicate particular M4 characteristics like the thickened armor plates on the turret sides. Newly tooled components include a slide-molded upper hull, turret, engine deck and rear engine-compartment doors. The T51 tracks made from DS are also brand new. Multimedia parts such as photo-etched sand-shield brackets and engine ventilator covers are also included. For modelers wishing to depict a Sherman fighting through the thick Normandy hedgerows and bocage, or dueling with Panthers and Tigers of desperate German defenders, this kit is a dream come true! The AB 43 armoured car is an evolution from the previous AB 40 and 41 models. Equipped with a new larger turret, its main weapon was the 20MM calibre Breda 35, with a co-axial 8MM machine gun. Unfortunately the AB 43 never entered into service with the Italian army as its production was only started in 1944 under the control of the German forces, which had occupied the Italian industry following the armistice in September 1943. These vehicles were distributed to many German units operating at the Italian front. They were used particularly for controls and by the police in the northern regions, which was subject to great partisan resistance. The few examples that survived were used by the police to maintain public order after the war. Per saperne di più

  10. M163 Vulcan
    13,00 €

Due to its low cost and great reliability the troop carrier M113 presented itself as a valid base for various anti-tank weapons systems such as TOW missiles or an anti-aircraft gun such as this version. The M163 was developed around a 20 mm gun “Vulcan”. Rotating barrels (with a rapid fire power of 6000 rounds per minute) were created for anti-aircraft use. Per saperne di più
