The latest item features two complete antitank rifles that were used especially in the early days of WWII. One is the PzB 39 (the abbreviation stands for Panzerbuchse 39, or “armor-hunting rifle”). The PzB 39 was supposed to give infantrymen a lightweight weapon with which to tackle enemy tanks. It was 1.62m long and it weighed 12.6kg. By the time of the invasion of Russian in 1941, a total of 25,298 PzB 39s were in the hands of the infantry. It continued in use until 1944, but by then it was hopelessly outclassed when trying to penetrate thick enemy armor. One variant of the PzB 39 antitank rifle was the Granatbuchse 39 (GrB 39), this being a rifle grenade launcher created from 1942 onwards. The barrel was shortened and a firing cup attachment was threaded on. The GrB 39 could fire the same type of anti-personnel, light antitank and large-diameter antitank grenades used with the standard Kar 98k rifle. Both these weapons are contained in this kit set. They are made according to Dragon’s exacting standards in a precise 1/6 scale. Parts are cleverly broken down into components that assemble easily to produce an accurate replica of the PzB 39 and GrB 39. As a special bonus, this set also comes with a third weapon. The bonus weapon is a 2.7cm Sturmpistole, also referred to as a Walther Leuchtpistole. It was designed to fire small specially designed high-explosive grenades. It was fitted with a padded stock to reduce the shock on the firer’s arm. This light weapon was widely used, particularly on the Eastern Front, for anti-personnel duties. This 1/6 model, like the larger weapons, is highly detailed, and it smoothly goes together to produce a very interesting miniature weapon. Per saperne di più

German Kz 8cm GrW 42 Mortar. Features - Bipod can be folded up as on the original - Adjustable mount allow different angles of Kz 8cm GrW 42 w/base - Adjustable mechanism allow different heights of Kz 8cm GrW 42 - Realistic cleaning rod and intricate 8cm mortar rounds are produced A new 1/6 scale weapon kit is hitting the streets. Item No. 75023 features a German mortar, a variant that is perhaps as not as well known as others that were employed in WWII. The kurzer 8cm Granatwerfer 42 (abbreviated to kz 8cm GrW 42) was developed as a lighter version of the standard 8cm GrW 34 mortar, and it was commonly referred to as Stummelwerfer (“stump-thrower”) by troops. The smaller size made it particularly useful for German paratroopers who needed a weapon that was easier to move around, but still offered more punch than the diminutive 5cm leGrW 36. It had a shorter barrel than the standard 8cm mortar (barrel length is 747mm), but it could still fire twice as far a round that weighed 3.5x the earlier 5cm mortar. Furthermore, at 26.5kg, it was half the weight of the leGrW 36. Maximum range was in the order of 1100m. Produced from 1941-45, the kz 8cm GrW 42 could be broken down into three loads for transport. Its effectiveness meant it served with Wehrmacht and other units as well as the airborne users it was originally intended for. Dragon’s 1/6 scale kit is an exquisite recreation of this German mortar. It mimics a working mortar in that the bipod can be folded up and the legs adjusted to whatever angle the modeler wishes. This working mechanism means the mortar tube can “fire” at different angles. The mortar is accurately engineered in plastic parts, but the kit also includes 8cm mortar rounds, plus a barrel cleaning rod. By offering all these accessories, Dragon allows modelers to produce a dynamic vignette with this mortar as the centerpiece. Per saperne di più

MG15 w/tripod. Features - MG 15 can be elevated and towered as per the original mechanism - Gun sight is realistically presented - Delicate muzzle w/details - Movable bolt mechanism - Detailed saddle Drum for MG 15 - Delicate stand mount - Tripod can be folded up as on the original - Adjustable legs allow different gun heights "Germany produced some highly effective machine guns like the MG 42 during WWII, but perhaps one of the lesser known is the MG 15. This particular weapon of 7.92mm caliber was originally designed for use in aircraft as a crew-served weapon on a flexible mount. Designed in the 1930s for use on Luftwaffe aircraft, it was eventually superseded by weapons like the MG 81, MG 131 and MG 151/20 by the year 1941. By this point the MG 15 was being modified for employment by ground troops. Indeed, by the start of 1944, a total of 17,648 MG 15 weapons had been modified for ground use. Typically the MG 15 used a 75-round double drum (also called a “saddle drum”). The gun measured 1.078m long. Dragon has already released German light weapons in its 1/6 scale series of weapon kits, including the famous MG 42. Now comes the MG 15, which is distinguished by being mounted on a tripod ready for use as an antiaircraft weapon. The 1/6 scale weapon is made to exacting tolerances, and the parts fit together with precision. The tripod too is a sophisticated piece of engineering, with every detail faithfully incorporated. " What’s more, the tripod is designed to be adjustable in height, thus allowing it to be matched with a suitable action figure if desired. Of course, the double-drum ammo magazine is also included, as is a ring sight for antiaircraft use. This machine gun and tripod combination from Dragon is yet another fine item suitable for a desktop display! Per saperne di più
