The new 1/72 scale item is a British tank – the famous Churchill. The Churchill, referred to officially as the Tank, Infantry, Mk IV (A22), was named after the British prime minister at the time of its design in WWII. The tank was heavily armored and it featured a long chassis with long track runs that enabled it to cross difficult terrain. The first Churchills were hastily churning off Vauxhall production lines in June 1941, within a year of the tank’s design in the aftermath of the humiliating Allied defeat in Europe. Dragon’s model portrays a Churchill Mk IV tank, a variant that featured a cast turret instead of the all-welded turret found on the visually similar Mk III. Its main armament was a QF 6 pounder gun. Weighing in at approximately 40 tonnes, the Churchill had a particularly slow top speed. The Mk IV was the most numerically common model of the Churchill, with 1,622 tanks produced. As the first Churchill kit from Dragon, the tank utilizes brand new moldings. Slide molds allow the upper hull and lower hull to each be made in one piece. This makes construction more straightforward and accurate. The suspension on the Churchill is complicated, but the kit designers have cleverly engineered the suspension system in a way that’s easy to assemble. The cast turret is made in one piece via multi-directional slide molds, and it perfectly captures the five-sided shape of the Mk IV turret. The muzzle of the 6 pounder gun is hollow thanks also to slide molding. The tracks are made of DS, adding to the appeal of a model that’s easy to assemble and one that builds into an authentic-looking Churchill Mk IV! Per saperne di più
  2. Sd.Kfz.260
    15,00 €

Features: Newly tooled Sd.Kfz.260 delicately produced Intricate external stowage included Tow hook molded on both front and rear of the vehicle Finely molded hull w/detail produced in one-piece Chassis presented in full details Delicate wheels w/authentic tire tread pattern Turret shields assembled in separate parts Spare wheels included Finely molded jerry can included Dragon has just extended its 1/72 scale range of model Leichter Panzerspa"hwagen light reconnaissance vehicles. The new family member is the Sd.Kfz.260. Like other types such as the Sd.Kfz.222 and Sd.Kfz.223, this particular variant was based on an Auto-Union 801 chassis and it was powered by a Horch 8-cylinder engine. The Sd.Kfz.260 was designed specifically as an armored, but unarmed, radio communication vehicle. Some 493 examples were produced from 1940 till 1943. Used by signals units, they provided mobility and some degree of protection. A standard crew comprised four soldiers, and the little vehicle was capable of reaching speeds of 85km/h and it had a range of 310km. The 3,815kg Sd.Kfz.260 was fitted with an Fu.7 medium-range radio set connected to a rod antenna. The Sd.Kfz.260 was eventually replaced in service by halftrack radio vehicles. Dragon’s 1/72 scale model is newly tooled. While it’s based on the previously released Sd.Kfz.222, it has brand new parts such as its entire upper hull. Because some details are different to existing Sd.Kfz.222/223 kits, Dragon created a completely new one-piece slide-molded upper hull. The machine gun turret has also been replaced - the framework over the hull-top opening is made of plastic, this being much easier to work with than photo-etched parts. There is also a brand new storage box, jack and reworked fenders. The rod antenna is also finely produced. After painting in appropriate camouflage colors, modelers can apply Cartograf high-quality decals to finish off their new Sd.Kfz.260! Per saperne di più
  3. Panzerfahre Gepanzerte Landwasserschlepper Prototype Nr.I

Features: Panzerfahre Gepanzerte Landwasserschlepper is authentically produced Chain links of front and rear hull Rivets on upper hull are detailed and realistic Spotlights exhibit extreme detail Commander's compartment intricately produced Air intake accurately presented Detailed assembly w/3D-designed engine exhaust mufflers Well-detailed cable drum Crane is intricately presented Idler wheels w/correctly detailed parts Sprocket wheels w/breathtaking detail and multiple delicate parts ; Road wheels and suspension w/accurate details One-piece DS tracks reproduced The Land-Wasser-Schlepper was conceived by Germany as a tracked amphibious tractor in 1936. A small number of this unarmored boat-like vehicle was built and they served on the Eastern Front. However, less well known is the vehicle designed as its successor – the Panzerfahre (abbreviated to "PzF"). The main difference with this vehicle was that it was armored, plus it was conveniently based on the chassis of a Panzer IV Ausf.F tank. Development of the Panzerfahre began in early 1941, and by mid-1942 Magirus had delivered two prototypes. The lightly armored, fully tracked vehicle had a boat-like bow and a propeller at the stern. The vehicle's main function was combat supply on land and in water. It could tow an amphibious trailer, or alternatively it could work in tandem with another Panzerfahre as a floating ferry platform capable of carrying a 24-ton load. However, as heavier tanks appeared on the scene, the Panzerfahre never went into production because of its inadequate payload. Dragon released a 1/35 scale kit of this fascinating vehicle a while back, and now it is being released in the smaller 1/72 scale. It depicts the first Panzerfahre prototype, and it makes clever use of parts from Dragon's Panzer IV models – for example, wheels, suspension and tracks. Meanwhile, all other parts are brand new in line with the unique nature of this vehicle. Details such as hull rivets are delicately rendered, while slide molds are widely used. Modelers will find this kit assembles easily. The finished item is a stunning vehicle, and the scale allows space for modelers to put it in a suitable diorama showing a river or riverbank. Figures - 8 fully detailed figures in vivid poses in 1/72 scale - Head, facial expressions and clothing details carefully sculpted - Weapons including Kar98k, G43, MP40, MP44 and MG42 all reproduced with exquisite detail in 1/72 scale - Standard equipment including water bottles, canteens and pistol pouches realistically reproduced Tank - Turret made from two-directional slide molds is finely detailed - Upper and lower hulls made from two-directional slide molds - Slide-molded muzzle brake gives sharp detail - Realistically detailed injection-molded tow cable - DS tracks for ease of assembly - Cartograf new decals About This Release, This new 1/72 scale set features a Kingtiger with Henschel turret that is made to exacting standards. However, what will be of interest to small-scale modelers is the brand new 1/72 scale figures of German paratroopers. There are eight figures mimicking those previously released in 1/35 scale, allowing modelers to reproduce the famous scene of soldiers riding into battle atop a Kingtiger in the Battle of the Bulge. These newly tooled figures are quite simply the best ever to be released on the market. They feature well-engineered part separation, and they fit together with consummate ease. Figure modelers have been waiting years, some even for decades, for figures of this degree of detail and sophistication! Likewise, their weapons and personal equipment are astoundingly accurate and well detailed. Poses are natural and anatomically correct. There are no concerns over undercut detail being missed as always happens with 1/72 soft-plastic figures. And thanks to Dragon’s tooling technology, there are no issues about unsightly flash. Neither do modelers need to fret about what glue to use or whether the paint will flake, for these figures are made with Dragon’s hard-plastic formula. All in all, it’s safe to say these 3rd FJ Division figures mark a whole new era in 1/72 scale plastic figures. As for the inclusion of a Kingtiger kit in the box? Well, that’s just a bonus! 7. Heavy Uniform Personnel Vehicle Type 40 + 2cm FlaK 38
    17,00 €

Features: - Newly tooled Type 40 delicately produced - Newly tooled two-wheeled gun carriage - Newly produced 2cm FlaK 38 - Realistic platform base for cannon - Delciate fun shield molded w/rivets - Type 40 chassis made in one piece - Full chassis represented - Realistic suspension produced - Delicate wheels w/authentic tread pattern - Detailed dashboard and driver's compartment - Detailed Type 40 rear w/fabric weather cover - Realistic MG included - High-definition Cartograf decals In recent months Dragon has launched a couple of 1/72 scale plastic kits of a German soft-skin vehicle, the Heavy Uniform Personnel Vehicle Type 40. One model of this particular heavy passenger car portrayed it with an antiaircraft machine gun fitted (Item No.7378), while the other had a roof for winter operations (Item No.7421). Dragon is now following up these popular releases with another combination that features this Type 40 4x4 heavy car produced from 1938 onwards. The vehicle served in all theaters of WWII. It possessed four-wheel drive, but production ceased in 1941 as part of German efforts to standardize production. The personnel carrier was powered by a V8 Horch engine of 3.823-litre capacity. What makes this new item special is the addition of a 2cm FlaK 38 cannon for the heavy car to tow. This antiaircraft weapon mounted on its trailer is brand new. By judicious use of slide-mold technology, the parts of this cannon have been realistically made without excessive parts separation. The trailer, for instance, is made as a single piece by slide molds, ensuring accuracy and easy assembly. The cannon muzzle, too, is hollow just like the real thing. Both models are accurately reproduced, and the inclusion of the towed FlaK 38 gives this German heavy passenger car a new sense of purpose! Per saperne di più
  8. Sd.Kfz.263 schwerer Panzerspahwagen

Features: - Newly produced Sd.Kfz.263 w/fine details - Well-defined vision ports on hull - Spade realistically molded - Slide molded upper hull - Slide-molded fenders w/on-vehicle tools - Underside of hull made by slide mold - Single MG34 mounted in superstructure - Telescoping mast antenna realistically replicated - Injection-molded tow cables reproduced - Highly detailed rear hull - Delicate grill on engine deck - Preformed frame antenna made from injection-molded plastic - Hatches on hull can be assembled open/closed - Chassis possesses full detail - Sharply reproduced cargo and jerry cans - Detailed wheels w/authentic tire tread pattern Dragon’s scintillating 1/72 scale kit of the Sd.Kfz.232 (Item No.7429) was enthusiastically greeted by modelers. Now Dragon is expanding the family with a brand new kit of the Sd.Kfz.263 built to an identical scale. The Sd.Kfz.263 was part of Germany’s successful 8-Rad (“eight-wheel”) Schwerer Panzerspa"hwagen (“heavy armored reconnaissance vehicle”) family. The 9.1-tonne Sd.Kfz.263 was designated a Funkspa"hwagen, a radio car, and as such it accommodated extra long-range radio equipment inside the fixed superstructure. It was used by reconnaissance units and had a top road speed of 85km/h. As well as a telescopic antenna, a large frame antenna was fitted above the superstructure to aid communications with headquarters and to help coordinate fighting units. Unlike the Sd.Kfz.232 on which it was based and that was armed with a 20mm cannon, this vehicle’s only armament was a 7.92mm MG34 machine gun. It operated with a crew of five, including two dedicated radio operators. Only 240 Sd.Kfz.263 vehicles were produced, but one of its most famous users was Erwin Rommel. Dragon has produced a brand new tooling for the upper hull of this 1/72 scale plastic kit. The complex item with multi-faceted plates is made as a single piece thanks to the employment of CAD drawings and high-tech slide-molding techniques. This ensures that modelers have an accurate and easy-to-assemble hull on which to base their miniature masterpiece. The Sd.Kfz.263 model also features a new one-piece frame antenna that is finely produced in scale. The unique shape of this 8x8 armored vehicle is beautifully captured, allowing modelers to operate Dragon’s Sd.Kfz.263 and Sd.Kfz.232 in tandem at the forefront of an early-war Per saperne di più

Features: Authentic Type 2 "Ka-Mi" w/Floating Pontoon Late Production reproduced Rails and full detail on front pontoon included Exhaust pipe w/photo-etched cover realistically produced Intricate hydroscope molded on turret Wading air intake cowling included Front pontoon represented in two segments as per original One-piece upper hull made from 30directional slide mold Ventilation grill produced in maximum detail 3-directional slide-molded one-piece lower hull Hydroscope hatch can be assembled open/closed Injection-molded float attachment brackets w/crisp detail True-to-scale ultra-thin propellers Intricate idler wheels and return rollers accurately produced Sprocket wheels w/breathtaking detail Suspension system offers easy assembly The “Ka Mi” was the first amphibious tank used by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), and it was designed for Japanese landing forces performing amphibious invasions of Pacific islands sans regular port facilities. Production of the Type 2 commenced in 1942 and a total of 184 amphibious tanks were made, although the design was too late to participate in Japan’s island-hopping campaign. When used in water, large pontoons were attached to the glacis plate and rear deck to give it a top speed of 10km/h in water. These pontoons could be shed as soon as the vehicle reached land. Dragon’s previous kit featured an Early-Production set of pontoons, while this newest kit offers Late-Production pontoons. The front section of pontoons is new toolings and is composed of two halves specific to the Late-Production type. Other parts such as the conning tower, rudder and hydroscope suitable for its amphibious role are also fully detailed. Slide molds are widely employed, with upper-hull and lower-hull components both made as single pieces, for example. The kit is closely based on measurements taken from a surviving Type 2 tank on Palau to ensure this kit is accurately dimensioned. The “Ka-Mi” also includes DS tracks for easy assembly of the complicated track links. This version with amphibious kit offers so much more by allowing modelers to place it in a scene where the tank is wading ashore. Per saperne di più

Features: Panzerfahre Gepanzerter Landwasserschlepper is authentically produced Support frames have crisp detail Newly tooled Fährendeck rendered w/realistic detail Fährendecke's surface features fine panel detail Chains links on front and rear of hull Rivets on ooer hull are detailed and realistic Extremely well-detailed spotlights Commander's conning tower intricately produced Air intakes accurately presented Detailed assembly w/3D-designed engine exhaust muffles Well-detailed cable drum Crane is intricately represented Idler wheels w/correctly detailed parts Sprocket wheels w/breathtaking detail and multiple delicate parts Road wheels and suspension w/accurate details One-piece DS tracks reproduced Dragon’s 1/72 scale plastic kit of the Panzerfähre (PzF) Prototype Nr.I won the ‘Kit Magazine’ award in 2012, and a Prototype Nr.II kit soon followed. An exciting new variation on the theme is being released in the same scale, this time depicting Nr.II with a Fährendeck. The Panzerfähre was an amphibious tractor based on the chassis of a Panzer IV Ausf.F tank, and when working in tandem with another PzF, it created a floating ferry platform capable of carrying a 24-ton load. It could thus transport armored vehicles over water obstacles such as rivers or lakes. Unfortunately, because heavier tanks were appearing on the scene at the time of its development, the PzF never went into production because of its inadequate payload. The new 1/72 scale set includes the PzF (Prototype Nr.II) released previously. The kit makes clever use of parts from Dragon’s Panzer IV models – for example, the wheels, suspension and tracks. Details such as hull rivets are delicately rendered, while slide molds are widely used to improve the quality of molding detail. Modelers will thus find the vehicle assembles easily. The other half of the kit is devoted to the Fährendeck pontoon, which is obviously a brand new tooling. For those modelers who previously bought a PzF kit, this new combo allows them to recreate a river-crossing scene with a full ferry complement. As illustrated in the box-top artwork, the finished item will look spectacular. Furthermore, this scale is ideal for a river or riverbank diorama. Per saperne di più
