British PIAT & Enfield No.4 Mk.I Rifle. Features - Intricate M1917 .30 cal browning machine gun - Delicate water cooling bottle for M1917 - Tripod can be folded up as on the original - The gun can rotate to different positions - .30 Calibre ammunition box can be assembled open/closed - M1917 can be elevated and lowered as per the original mechanism - Bolt mechanism can be pulled up/down One of the main machine guns used by the USA during WWII and beyond was the M1917A1 Browning machine gun. The M1917A1 was introduced in 1936 with a strengthened bottom plate in the receiver, plus a few other detail changes. This heavy weapon, commonly referred to as a .30-cal MG, was a belt-fed and water-cooled machine gun. With a rate of fire of up to 600 rounds per minute, it was a highly successful design that was also mounted on vehicles and aircraft. It served throughout WWII, the Korean War, and some examples even found use in the Vietnam War before the M60 gained widespread currency. Because of its unwieldy bulk and weight (14.8kg for the gun body, 3.3kg of water, and 24kg for the tripod), the M1917 .30-cal MG was typically used for fixed defense or as a battalion-level or above support weapon. Its standard crew was four men – the gunner, assistant and two others to help carry ammo and water. The newest 1/6 scale kit to join Dragon’s weapon collection is an exact replica of this famous M1917A1 machine gun. It is highly detailed, and the parts separation mimics that of the original weapon. The kit comes with all the necessary and desirable accessories such as the M1917 tripod, a heavy steel mount that featured integral traverse and elevation mechanisms. The tripod has been accurately rendered in this large-scale kit, and it can be traversed and elevated to any position the modeler chooses. There is also a 250-round fabric ammunition belt with its associated ammo can. Finally, the kit also includes the condenser tank that supplied the tubular cooling jacket with water. This is a very well-crafted kit of a most significant weapon, and modelers will be able to add it to a vignette, or simply display it as a standalone exhibit. Per saperne di più
  2. "Battle of Kharkov 1943"
    14,00 €

he box-top illustration shows two Soviet soldiers dressed for winter combat with such uniform gear as a greatcoat, fur hats and a snowsuit. Their weapons include a Mosin-Nagant rifle and a ubiquitous PPSh-41 submachine gun. One Russian is smoking a cigarette during a lull in the fighting, and this classic pose makes this figure a suitable candidate for a standalone vignette. The two Germans are also outfitted to resist the severe weather conditions. One is delivering food supplies (bread, food container and water canteens) to the frontline while the other is firing an MP40 submachine gun. The interesting mix of action and at-rest poses are very suitable for depicting an Eastern Front scene in the snow and ice, and the plastic sculpting is sharp and realistic. The inclusion of soldiers of two nationalities also adds to the versatility of this unique 1/35 figure set. Per saperne di più

  4. Soviet Infantry Winter 1941
    15,00 €

The box-top illustration shows four Soviet soldiers dressed for winter combat. They wear uniform gear such as greatcoats, sheepskin jackets, toques, mittens/gloves and fur boots. The action poses are very suitable for depicting a combat scene in the snow and ice, and the sculpting of the plastic is sharp and realistic. The soldiers also wield weapons suitable for this time period of 1941, including Mosin-Nagant rifles and a DP28 light machine gun. Of course the figures could also find application in a different setting (in the winter fighting against Finland, for example) so they will prove very versatile. This new Dragon set will find a niche amongst modelers as there is little else available representing this period of the Great Patriotic War. Per saperne di più

Around 14,000 Sd.Kfz.10 halftracks were built from 1938-45. Several specialist vehicles were based on this halftrack design, among them the Sd.Kfz.10/5. This vehicle had a platform on the rear for carrying an anti-aircraft 2cm FlaK 38 cannon. The purpose-built platform had fold-down sides and rear to give the crew more workspace when in combat. The weapon system was used by both the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, and of course the weapon could be equally effective against ground targets. In 1943, the Luftwaffe ordered 293 sets of Behelfspanzerung (armor plates) to protect its Sd.Kfz.10/5 antiaircraft halftracks. Per saperne di più
  7. Challenger 2 w/Bar Armor
    16,00 €

Challenger 2 w/Bar Armor. The Challenger 2 is a very capable tank and is one of the most heavily protected in the world with its second-generation Chobham armor. The 62.5-tonne tank entered British Army service in 1998 and it has since seen operational use in Kosovo and combat in Iraq since 2003. In places like Iraq, one of the gravest threats is from hollow-charge RPGs, and a special kit was developed to help mitigate this threat. This involves a Dorchester Armour Level 2 applique' armor kit supplemented by a “cage” of bar armor fitted around the more vulnerable rear areas of the hull and turret. This system is being successfully used on Challenger 2 tanks in Iraq at the present time. Features: -Bar Armor finely reproduced with photo-etched parts -Newly tooled turret side blocks on both sides -One-piece slide-molded lower hull w/fine detail -Slide molds reproduce delicate details on upper hull -Side-skirt armor with correct detail -DS tracks -Cartograf decals Per saperne di più

The "Ka Mi" was the first amphibious tank used by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). It was designed for Japanese landing forces performing amphibious invasions of Pacific islands not possessing regular port facilities. Production of the Type 2 commenced in 1942 and a total of 184 amphibious tanks were made. When used in water, large pontoons were attached to the glacis plate and rear deck to give it a top speed of 10km/h in water. These pontoons could be shed as soon as the vehicle reached land. Based on the Type 2 "Ka-Mi" released, brand new parts consists of the special set of floating pontoons (early production), conning tower and hydroscope on turret. Slide molds are widely employed, with upper hull and lower hull components both made as single pieces, for example. The kit is closely based on measurements taken from a surviving Type 2 tank on Palau to ensure this kit is accurately dimensioned. The "Ka-Mi" also includes DS tracks for easy assembly of the complicated track links. The previous Type 2 kit was a huge success, and this version with the amphibious kit offers so much more by allowing modelers to depict it in a scenario where the tank is seen wading ashore. All in all, this is a swimmingly good kit! Per saperne di più
