"Die Erza"hlungdes Schwarzen Ritters" is a widely acclaimed comic book series and considered the best work of renowned comic artist Motofumi Kobayashi. The story is set in the Eastern Front in the Fall of 1943 and portrays the main character Oblt.Ernst von Bauer and his force Wehrmacht 8th Tank Company which is called "Black Knight". In the winter of 1943, the Black Knight lost their five "Panzerkampfwagen IV" during the battle against the Soviet force's T34s but luckily they found six "Panther As" and fought back against the Soviet force. These six Panther As displayed the courage and power of the Black Knight. This Panther A is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit. The forms are accurately detailed. The gun barrel and side skirt are made of metal parts. Photo etched parts are provided for some small details. The Black Knight's emblems can be reproduced by decals. Dragon has now expanded the family with the Sd.Kfz.10/4 by adding the company’s world-famous 2cm FlaK 30 kit. The rear platform is completely new to suit this particular vehicle type. The same is also true of the front-wheel fenders. The kit’s fully detailed, and even hidden internal components like the engine and gearbox are provided. - Bonus Waffen Tank Crew 1944/45 On both the Western and Eastern Fronts, Germany relied heavily on an extensive rail network to keep its war machine supplied and reinforced. Endless convoys of trains carried armored vehicles and trucks, ammunition, soldiers, food and miscellaneous supplies towards the frontlines. However, these vital train lines were vulnerable to attack from the air as well as the activities of partisans and resistance movements. On the Eastern Front in particular, partisans could play havoc with supply lines in occupied areas, and attacks on trains and railway lines were commonplace. To counter such disruptive activities, Germany produced a variety of specialist rail vehicles to take on the partisans. One such vehicle was the Schwerer Panzerspahwagen (s.Sp.) Artilleriewagen. Cyber Hobby is releasing a 1/35 scale Artilleriewagen as an Orange Box item. This particular vehicle featured a turret taken from a Panzer III that was placed on an armored hull fitted with railcar wheels. This turret had a short-barreled 7.5cm Kw.K L/24 gun that could take on partisans with high explosive rounds. There were also multiple machineguns fitted for all-round defense. Combined with its armored plates, this firepower made the Artilleriewagen a formidable opponent for any partisan group hoping to take on a supply train. As an Orange Box item, the kit also includes a set of crew figures readymade to populate the vehicle and turret. Orange Box is renowned for its value for money, and so the kit contains a length of railway track and associated embankment too. As with popularly received railway items such as flatbed and gondola railcars that have already been released by Orange Box, this latest vehicle allows modelers to make their trains longer and more powerfully armed! Dragon has created an impressive 1/35 scale plastic kit of the second prototype of the Panzerfähre. This means it’s a perfect companion to the previously announced Prototype Nr.I (Item No. 6625). What makes this kit spectacular is the inclusion of the pontoon ferry as well as the LWS tractor. When Prototypes Nr.I and II are joined together, they’ll make a complete panzer ferry. This LWS has many different parts compared to the first kit – a couple of examples include the driver’s compartment and the absence of the two air intakes. Clever use of slide molds means this vehicle is easier to assemble. The Panzerfähre deck is accurately produced with fine details, as is the pontoon.
