    - Newly tooled Sd.Kfz.223 Leichte Panzerspa"hwagen delicately produced - Realistic bed-frame antenna included - Finely molded hull w/detail - Full fighting comaprtment w/detail - Finely-molded jerry cans included - Delicate MG 34 included - Photo-etched turret shields can be assembled open/closed - Chassis presented in full details - On-vehicle tools sharply produced - Intricate external stowage included - Realistic-looking headlamps included - Well-shaped driver's seat - Delicate wheels w/authentic tread pattern Earlier in 2011 Dragon released a 1/72 scale plastic kit of the Sd.Kfz.222 Leichter Panzerspa"hwagen. This little German 4x4 armored car was used for reconnaissance purposes. Early in WWII, the Sd.Kz.221 family performed well enough as reconnaissance vehicles for panzer divisions, although their off-road capability let them down. Now Dragon is offering another vehicle in the family – the Sd.Kfz.223, which was basically a modified Sd.Kfz.221 with a long-range radio set. Its function is belied by the prominent frame antenna that was mounted above the hull. This radio allowed it to stay in touch with roving reconnaissance vehicles on the battlefield. A total of 550 Sd.Kfz.223 vehicles were made between 1935 and 1944. As on the Sd.Kfz.221, a machine gun was installed in the small turret. The new Sd.Kfz.223 kit features new parts to create this specific variant. For example, the upper hull is a completely new item. The turret and rectangular antenna are obviously new too. The kit makes use of Dragon’s highest engineering expertise, meaning the armored radio car is well designed and easily assembled despite its diminutive size in this scale. The mesh that covers the turret is supplied as a photo-etched part so that it remains true to scale. Adding to its appeal is a set of jerry cans that can be stowed on the nose of the vehicle to give it longer range when performing recces. This little reconnaissance vehicle is the perfect vehicle to stay in touch with the Sd.Kfz.222s that modelers may already have in their reconnaissance forces! Per saperne di più

Kfz.222 Leichte Panzerspa"hwagen delicately produced - Finely molded hull w/detail - Full fighting compartment w/detail - Realistic 2cm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon and MG 34 included - Photo-etched turret can be assembled open/closed - Sharply reproduced on-vehicle tools - Features finely rendered taillights - Realistic-looking headlamps included - Intricate engine cooling grill included - Finely molded jerry can and cargo included - Chassis presented in full details - Delicate wheels w/authentic tread pattern - Well-shaped driver's seat To support its mobile concept of modern warfare, Germany introduced a wide range of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles. One wheeled family of vehicles introduced in 1936 included 4x4 armored cars known as the Leichter Panzerspa"hwagen, which translates as “Light Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle.” Powered by a Horch engine, these vehicles were based on a Horch 801 heavy car chassis to which an armored body was added. Early in WWII it performed well enough as a reconnaissance vehicle for panzer divisions, although its off-road capability let it down. The base model was the Sd.Kfz.221, but Dragon is introducing a model of the derivative known as the Sd.Kfz.222. The latter vehicle is armed with a 2cm KwK.30 L/55 cannon and MG34 machine gun in an open-top turret. Three men operated the Sd.Kfz.222. Interestingly, as well as being operated by China, a dozen Sd.Kfz.222 armored cars were also sold to China. At the last Tokyo Hobby Show, Dragon announced a whole new series of 1/72 scale kits. The first of these is the famous little Sd.Kfz.222. As a special introductory offer, Dragon is including two complete Sd.Kfz.222 models in the box. The two vehicles are supplied with different markings. These kits make use of Dragon’s highest engineering expertise, meaning the armored car is well designed and easily assembled. The mesh that covers the turret is supplied as a photo-etched part so that it remains true to scale. This little reconnaissance vehicle is the perfect vehicle to lead off Dragon’s newly tooled collection of 1/72 vehicle kits! Per saperne di più

A total of about 7,000 trucks were produced up till 1942. This 6x4 vehicle was powered by an air-cooled 3.308-liter flat-four engine. The horizontal engine gave rise to the truck’s distinctive sharply sloped nose, and also to its nickname “Boxer”. The truck was used for all kinds of purposes, and was commonly employed for towing light artillery such as the 3.7cm Pak 35/36 antitank cannon. Per saperne di più
  4. WW.II German LAH 1stSS Panzergrenadiers Set w/Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausf.D Ardennes
    18,00 €

    Non disponibile

Dragon’s newest 1/72 scale kit set features an Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausf.D and four German panzergrenadiers. As far as possible, this set reflects the original scenes photographed on 18 December 1944. The four figures are completely new toolings, and benefit from the level of detail that was incorporated in their 1/35 scale ‘brothers’. The grenadiers are depicted enjoying a cigarette in a lull after their successful ambush. Each is well researched and sculpted to carry as much detail as possible in this scale, with a great variety shown in their uniform items. The soldiers are accompanied by the Pioneer variant of the famous Sd.Kfz.251 halftrack, complete with assault-bridge sections. This kit is finely detailed, and offers possibilities such as the rear doors or vision ports being left open or closed. Convenience has been guaranteed with features such as DS tracks and road wheels that are molded as a set. This novel set recreates the events of that historic day in this otherwise obscure Belgian village! In a desperate last gamble, Hitler sent massed German units through the forested Ardennes terrain in an attack against Allied forces in the Battle of the Bulge. One small event that played out during the epic battle was the fighting in the small Belgian village of Poteau, a junction where the roads from Recht and St Vith meet en route to Vielsalm. On 17 December 1944 this village was the site of a huge traffic bottleneck as American troops moved to take up defensive positions while stragglers retreated from the fighting. Kampfgruppe Hansen attacked and captured the village on the morning of 18 December, and later that day the German soldiers succeeded in ambushing a convoy from the U.S. 14th Cavalry Group. What made this event famous were the numerous movies and photos taken by German propaganda cameramen on that occasion. Per saperne di più

However, what will be of interest to small-scale modelers is the brand new 1/72 scale figures of German paratroopers. There are eight figures mimicking those previously released in 1/35 scale, allowing modelers to reproduce the famous scene of soldiers riding into battle atop a Kingtiger in the Battle of the Bulge. These newly tooled figures are quite simply the best ever to be released on the market. They feature well-engineered part separation, and they fit together with consummate ease. Figure modelers have been waiting years, some even for decades, for figures of this degree of detail and sophistication! Likewise, their weapons and personal equipment are astoundingly accurate and well detailed. Poses are natural and anatomically correct. There are no concerns over undercut detail being missed as always happens with 1/72 soft-plastic figures. And thanks to Dragon’s tooling technology, there are no issues about unsightly flash. Neither do modelers need to fret about what glue to use or whether the paint will flake, for these figures are made with Dragon’s hard-plastic formula. All in all, it’s safe to say these 3rd FJ Division figures mark a whole new era in 1/72 scale plastic figures. As for the inclusion of a Kingtiger kit in the box? Well, that’s just a bonus! One version was the Stuka zu Fuss mounting the Wurfrahmen 40 rocket launcher system, ideal for providing a heavy bombardment capability to panzergrenadier units. Dragon is now going to release such a vehicle in Ausf.D version. The Ausf. D hull featured a simplified construction, thus making production easier for Germany’s overstrained industry. This 1/72 scale Sd.Kfz. 251 halftrack model is highly detailed with accurate dimensions. The six rocket launcher frames mounted on the hull are reproduced by new photo-etched parts. The Stuka zu Fuss offered a heavy weapon to German motorized units, and Dragon's offers modelers an excellent new choice in halftracks! This existing release provides some serious firepower to modelers. Per saperne di più
  7. Heavy Uniform Personnel Vehicle Type 40 + 2cm FlaK 38
    17,00 €

Features: - Newly tooled Type 40 delicately produced - Newly tooled two-wheeled gun carriage - Newly produced 2cm FlaK 38 - Realistic platform base for cannon - Delciate fun shield molded w/rivets - Type 40 chassis made in one piece - Full chassis represented - Realistic suspension produced - Delicate wheels w/authentic tread pattern - Detailed dashboard and driver's compartment - Detailed Type 40 rear w/fabric weather cover - Realistic MG included - High-definition Cartograf decals In recent months Dragon has launched a couple of 1/72 scale plastic kits of a German soft-skin vehicle, the Heavy Uniform Personnel Vehicle Type 40. One model of this particular heavy passenger car portrayed it with an antiaircraft machine gun fitted (Item No.7378), while the other had a roof for winter operations (Item No.7421). Dragon is now following up these popular releases with another combination that features this Type 40 4x4 heavy car produced from 1938 onwards. The vehicle served in all theaters of WWII. It possessed four-wheel drive, but production ceased in 1941 as part of German efforts to standardize production. The personnel carrier was powered by a V8 Horch engine of 3.823-litre capacity. What makes this new item special is the addition of a 2cm FlaK 38 cannon for the heavy car to tow. This antiaircraft weapon mounted on its trailer is brand new. By judicious use of slide-mold technology, the parts of this cannon have been realistically made without excessive parts separation. The trailer, for instance, is made as a single piece by slide molds, ensuring accuracy and easy assembly. The cannon muzzle, too, is hollow just like the real thing. Both models are accurately reproduced, and the inclusion of the towed FlaK 38 gives this German heavy passenger car a new sense of purpose! Per saperne di più

Features - Photo-etched armor plates newly produced - Authentic Armored 4x4 Truck produced - Detailed dashboard and driver's compartment - Texture on driver's seat is well represented - Intricate engine grille reproduced - Realistic bazooka reproduced - Either .30-cal or .50-cal machine guns included as options - Slide-molded chassis - Fine details on the steering system and transmission - Delicate wheels w/authentic tread pattern - Intricate Jerry Can included Robust and simple to manufacture, the American-built 1/4-Ton Truck was perhaps the most iconic Allied vehicle of WWII. The two wartime manufacturers of the small utility vehicle, Ford and Willys-Overland, produced a staggering total of 640,000 vehicles. This figure amounted to nearly 20% of all wheeled military vehicles built in the USA during the war. They were used in a multitude of functions by the US military, plus around 30% of all production was allocated to British and Soviet units via Lend Lease. Dragon is offering a novel version of this famous 1/4-Ton 4x4 Truck in 1/72 scale. Entitled “1/4-Ton 4x4 Armored Truck”, the plastic kit includes two complete vehicles that can be assembled to represent vehicles with armored plates added to the radiator grill and driver’s compartment to give greater protection against German small arms. These armor shields give the 1/4-Ton Truck a completely new appearance, with this vehicle type being commonly employed in the reconnaissance role. Despite being small in 1/72 scale, the models are highly detailed and Dragon’s well-known engineering excellence guarantees a satisfying build. Furthermore, the vehicles can be fitted with different weapons. Multiple armaments such as twin-mounted bazookas, a .50-cal machine gun or a .30-cal machine gun are available, and they can be mounted at the modeler’s discretion. Two identical bazooka-armed vehicles, or one bazooka and one MG truck, can be built straight from the box. This 1+1 combination kit indeed packs a big punch! Per saperne di più

The new 1/72 scale item is a British tank – the famous Churchill. The Churchill, referred to officially as the Tank, Infantry, Mk IV (A22), was named after the British prime minister at the time of its design in WWII. The tank was heavily armored and it featured a long chassis with long track runs that enabled it to cross difficult terrain. The first Churchills were hastily churning off Vauxhall production lines in June 1941, within a year of the tank’s design in the aftermath of the humiliating Allied defeat in Europe. Dragon’s model portrays a Churchill Mk IV tank, a variant that featured a cast turret instead of the all-welded turret found on the visually similar Mk III. Its main armament was a QF 6 pounder gun. Weighing in at approximately 40 tonnes, the Churchill had a particularly slow top speed. The Mk IV was the most numerically common model of the Churchill, with 1,622 tanks produced. As the first Churchill kit from Dragon, the tank utilizes brand new moldings. Slide molds allow the upper hull and lower hull to each be made in one piece. This makes construction more straightforward and accurate. The suspension on the Churchill is complicated, but the kit designers have cleverly engineered the suspension system in a way that’s easy to assemble. The cast turret is made in one piece via multi-directional slide molds, and it perfectly captures the five-sided shape of the Mk IV turret. The muzzle of the 6 pounder gun is hollow thanks also to slide molding. The tracks are made of DS, adding to the appeal of a model that’s easy to assemble and one that builds into an authentic-looking Churchill Mk IV! Per saperne di più

An exciting new variation on the theme is being released in the same scale, this time depicting Nr.II with a Fährendeck. The Panzerfähre was an amphibious tractor based on the chassis of a Panzer IV Ausf.F tank, and when working in tandem with another PzF, it created a floating ferry platform capable of carrying a 24-ton load. It could thus transport armored vehicles over water obstacles such as rivers or lakes. Unfortunately, because heavier tanks were appearing on the scene at the time of its development, the PzF never went into production because of its inadequate payload. The new 1/72 scale set includes the PzF (Prototype Nr.II) released previously. The kit makes clever use of parts from Dragon’s Panzer IV models – for example, the wheels, suspension and tracks. Details such as hull rivets are delicately rendered, while slide molds are widely used to improve the quality of molding detail. Modelers will thus find the vehicle assembles easily. The other half of the kit is devoted to the Fährendeck pontoon, which is obviously a brand new tooling. For those modelers who previously bought a PzF kit, this new combo allows them to recreate a river-crossing scene with a full ferry complement. As illustrated in the box-top artwork, the finished item will look spectacular. Furthermore, this scale is ideal for a river or riverbank diorama. Per saperne di più
