Small in size, it could be towed by a Jeep, although major advances in armor protection on the part of German armored fighting vehicles essentially rendered the M3 obsolete in the European theater. Nevertheless, in addition to European, North African and Mediterranean use, the M3 37mm cannon built by Watervliet Arsenal served through to the end of the war in the Pacific. It was usually mounted on a towed gun carriage made by Rock Island Arsenal. As well as the antitank role, it could be used for infantry support and anti-personnel duties. In all a total of 18,702 M3 guns were produced up till 1943. They were used by the US Army and USMC, while some ended up in service as far afield as China. As part of its highly detailed weapon series, Dragon has now produced a 1/6 scale version of the American M3 antitank gun mounted on the regular M4 carriage. In this model kit, the split-trail gun carriage can be displayed in either travel or combat modes. Furthermore, it mimics the original in that the gun can traverse and elevate according to the modeler’s wishes. The vertical-block breech can also be displayed open or closed. The kit is convenient to assemble, but all the intricate detail of the original M3 gun is retained, from the tip of the gun muzzle through to the pneumatic tires. As occurred in reality, the M3 37mm antitank gun can be hitched up to Dragon’s recently released 1/4-Ton 4x4 Truck for towing around the battlefield. Following on from other recently released American 1/6 weapons, this M3 37mm gun offers modelers a larger weapon that will make an impressive centerpiece by itself, or in combination with appropriate figures and other American equipment. 7,5cm PaK 97/38. Features: - Hollow gun muzzle - Gun can elevate to any angle - Gun cradle w/hand wheels - Gun shield true to scale - Bottom armored flap of gun shield is movable - Finely detailed wheels - Movable gun recoils like the real one - Movable gun breech can be displayed open/closed - Movable gun trails can be positioned in combat or travel modes Despite the output of Germany’s massive armaments industry, the thirst for more weapons throughout WWII proved insatiable. One solution was to employ captured weapons, and this is exactly what the Wehrmacht did with the French Canon de 75 mode`le 1897 field gun. Hundreds of these cannons manufactured by Schneider were captured during the Polish and French campaigns in 1939-40, and were subsequently pressed into German service as howitzers. However, faced with well-armored Soviet tanks in 1941, there was a desperate need for more powerful antitank weapons. Until more 7.5cm PaK 40 cannons could be produced, an expedient solution was to place gun barrels from the French Canon de 75 mode`le 1897 onto the carriage of a PaK 38. Fitted with a muzzle brake, the resulting weapon was called the 7.5cm PaK 97/38. This hybrid weapon could be used in the antitank role because it primarily fired HEAT rounds, which didn’t rely on velocity. A total of 3700+ PaK 97/38 cannons were produced in 1942-43, and many soldiered on until late in the war. Dragon has produced a 1/6 scale kit of this important German antitank weapon. Utilizing the split-trail gun carriage and double-layered gun shield from the previously issued 1/6 scale PaK 38 5cm antitank gun, these subassemblies have been matched with a brand new barrel and muzzle brake. The round-shaped breech is also notable for being a new tooling. Modelers are able to display the gun in either towed or firing mode. Furthermore, the gun can traverse, elevate and depress just like the original. This new kit is ready to take on any type of enemy armor, and it constitutes an instant diorama if suitable figures are added. Per saperne di più

British PIAT & Enfield No.4 Mk.I Rifle. Features - Intricate M1917 .30 cal browning machine gun - Delicate water cooling bottle for M1917 - Tripod can be folded up as on the original - The gun can rotate to different positions - .30 Calibre ammunition box can be assembled open/closed - M1917 can be elevated and lowered as per the original mechanism - Bolt mechanism can be pulled up/down One of the main machine guns used by the USA during WWII and beyond was the M1917A1 Browning machine gun. The M1917A1 was introduced in 1936 with a strengthened bottom plate in the receiver, plus a few other detail changes. This heavy weapon, commonly referred to as a .30-cal MG, was a belt-fed and water-cooled machine gun. With a rate of fire of up to 600 rounds per minute, it was a highly successful design that was also mounted on vehicles and aircraft. It served throughout WWII, the Korean War, and some examples even found use in the Vietnam War before the M60 gained widespread currency. Because of its unwieldy bulk and weight (14.8kg for the gun body, 3.3kg of water, and 24kg for the tripod), the M1917 .30-cal MG was typically used for fixed defense or as a battalion-level or above support weapon. Its standard crew was four men – the gunner, assistant and two others to help carry ammo and water. The newest 1/6 scale kit to join Dragon’s weapon collection is an exact replica of this famous M1917A1 machine gun. It is highly detailed, and the parts separation mimics that of the original weapon. The kit comes with all the necessary and desirable accessories such as the M1917 tripod, a heavy steel mount that featured integral traverse and elevation mechanisms. The tripod has been accurately rendered in this large-scale kit, and it can be traversed and elevated to any position the modeler chooses. There is also a 250-round fabric ammunition belt with its associated ammo can. Finally, the kit also includes the condenser tank that supplied the tubular cooling jacket with water. This is a very well-crafted kit of a most significant weapon, and modelers will be able to add it to a vignette, or simply display it as a standalone exhibit. Per saperne di più

British PIAT & Enfield No.4 Mk.I Rifle. Features - Intricate British PIAT w/shoulder pad cover is realistically produced - Delicate projectile is included - British PIAT ammunition acse is accurately produced - Enfield No.4 Mk.I rifle is accurately presented - Intricate ammo and ammo case - Movable bolt mechnism "A couple of famous British weapons of WWII vintage feature in Dragon’s latest 1/6 scale weapon kit. The two weapons included in the set are the PIAT and Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I rifle. The PIAT (standing for Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank) was a handheld antitank weapon. Based on the spigot mortar system, it didn’t require a propellant to fire rounds. An advantage was the absence of muzzle smoke upon launch, but this was offset by difficulty in cocking the weapon and a lack of penetrative power. The PIAT’s first operational use was in the invasion of Sicily in 1943, and it remained in British and Commonwealth use until the early 1950s. It was 99cm long, weighed 15kg, and was operated by a two-man crew. The Lee-Enfield Rifle, No.4 Mk I was officially adopted in 1941 and was mass produced during WWII. This bolt-action rifle fed by a ten-round magazine fired standard .303 service cartridges. The PIAT, reproduced in plastic kit form by Dragon, is an accurate replica. The plastic parts are separated as on the original weapon, and they fit together precisely. To make the weapon look more realistic, the shoulder pad and jacket are made of cloth. The PIAT is supplied with an ammo case containing three rounds ready for firing. Similarly, the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I rifle is well engineered in plastic. Both weapons also come with authentic-looking slings. These British weapons are a welcome release from Dragon, and will look the part alongside similar German and American weapons that have already been released. Per saperne di più

1/6 8.8cm Raketenwerfer 43 'Puppchen' The Raketen-Panzerbu"chse 43 (RPzB, which stands for “rocket tank rifle”) was an antitank rocket launcher of 88mm caliber. German troops nicknamed it Pu"ppchen or “dolly”. While it gave infantrymen an antitank capability in their foremost positions, it was produced in only limited numbers compared to the Panzerschreck or Panzerfaust. The weapon was mounted on a carriage and fired the same type of 88mm rocket as the Panzerschreck. This novel weapon has been reduced in size to 1/6 scale in Dragon’s exciting series of support weapon kits. No effort has been spared to ensure this Pu"ppchen kit has received every last possible detail. This 1/6 scale replica even has a working breech that allows ammunition to be inserted! 88mm rockets with shaped-charge head are included in this amazing set, along with their associated ammo boxes.About the only thing this Pu"ppchen can’t do is actually fire the rockets! The original RPzB 43 had a maximum effective range of only about 200m, plus the wheels could be removed to lower its silhouette. In such a case, the weapon was then left standing on a pair of sled-like rests. This is in fact the guise this weapon comes in, ideal for a diorama set in a bitterly cold and snowy winter. This new model kit is a real doll, and is ideal for a wintry vignette. It would work well with many of Dragon’s 1/6 scale figures, or it is so well presented that it could form the centerpiece of a display all by itself! Per saperne di più

Features: - Gun sight with well-defined detail - Gun can be elevated to any angle selected by modeler - Gun sight moves in tandem with gun barrel - Structure & mechanisms realistically reproduced - Gunner protection shield true to scale - Gun can be assembled at fixed angle - Round platform with full detail - Metal gun barral - Details of gun accurately depict real one - Position of holes & shape of flash suppressor & muzzle brake accurately represented - Ammo and ammo clips included - Gunner's seat with fine detail - Cartograf Decal offers accurate marking Early in WWII, the Luftwaffe ruled the skies over Europe. However, as the war progressed, this domination was reversed. The need for antiaircraft weapons became pressing, although the primary light AA gun - the 2cm FlaK 38 (Fliegerabwehrkanone 38) - was inadequate towards the war’s end. The FlaK 38 was an improved version of the FlaK 30, with a much-improved theoretical rate of fire of 420-480 rounds per minute, although in practice it was half of this due to the 20-round box magazines that fed it. Mauser’s 2cm FlaK 38 was adopted gun in March 1940, and more than 17,000 FlaK 30 and FlaK 38 examples were to see widespread service in WWII. The weapon had a muzzle velocity of 900m/s and its maximum effective range was 2,200m. The gun was usually hauled around on a two-wheeled Sd.Ah. 51 trailer. A fine 2cm FlaK 38 antiaircraft gun is the latest arrival in Dragon’s expanding range of 1/6 scale kit sets. The weapon is fully detailed and accurately resembles the original gun. Of course, in this larger scale no detail has been left untouched by the designers. Furthermore, it moves like the real thing, with the weapon able to rotate 360^(o) on its platform, and with the barrel able to elevate to any angle selected by the modeler. As the cannon elevates, the mechanism is carefully engineered so the gun sight moves in tandem. The incluson of a metal gun barrel ensures detail is maximised, and the distinctive holes found on the flash suppressor are present. Although it’s full of complex detail, this plastic kit is simple to assemble. A ready supply of ammunition means this compact weapon is also ready to immediately swing into action against either air or ground targets! Per saperne di più
