  2. Challenger 2 w/Bar Armor
    16,00 €

Challenger 2 w/Bar Armor. The Challenger 2 is a very capable tank and is one of the most heavily protected in the world with its second-generation Chobham armor. The 62.5-tonne tank entered British Army service in 1998 and it has since seen operational use in Kosovo and combat in Iraq since 2003. In places like Iraq, one of the gravest threats is from hollow-charge RPGs, and a special kit was developed to help mitigate this threat. This involves a Dorchester Armour Level 2 applique' armor kit supplemented by a “cage” of bar armor fitted around the more vulnerable rear areas of the hull and turret. This system is being successfully used on Challenger 2 tanks in Iraq at the present time. Features: -Bar Armor finely reproduced with photo-etched parts -Newly tooled turret side blocks on both sides -One-piece slide-molded lower hull w/fine detail -Slide molds reproduce delicate details on upper hull -Side-skirt armor with correct detail -DS tracks -Cartograf decals Per saperne di più

The latest 1/72 plastic model is the Panzer III Ausf.M. This tank version succeeded the Ausf.L, and it shared the same 5cm KwK39 L/60 main gun. Among its modifications was a deep-wading muffler with a series of associated hatch seals that allowed fording of water obstacles up to a depth of 1.3m. This performance represented a significant fording improvement over earlier Panzer IIIs. The hull-mounted smoke generators were also replaced with three 90mm NbK dischargers mounted either side of the turret. A total of 250 new Ausf.M tanks were produced from October 1942 to February 1943. Inside the box bearing the Dragon logo lie all the necessary ingredients to create a spectacular Panzer III M with its deep-wading exhaust system. Benefiting from the precision achieved with the larger 1/35 scale version of the Panzer III M, the kit’s extremely well engineered and the parts separation is cleverly handled by the engineering team. In addition to the obviously new exhaust and muffler system, there are DS tracks and a set of photo-etched parts. Cartograf has produced an excellent set of slide decals with different tactical markings so that modelers can select an appropriate unit. This stunning 1/72 plastic kit offers a perfect balance of accuracy and ease of assembly - the perfect project for modelers to wade into! Per saperne di più
  4. Sd.Kfz.231 8-Rad w/2cm KwK 30 Cannon Plus MG34 Machine Gun
    18,00 €

Features: Newly produced Sd.Kfz.231 w/fine details Well-defined vision ports on turret and hull Spade realistically molded Intricate 2cm KwK 30L/55 auto-cannon and MG34 included Injection-molded tow cables reproduced Highly detailed rear hull Delicate grill on engine deck Turret made by 3-directional slide mold Slide-molded upper hull Slide-molded fenders w/on-vehicle tools Underside of hull made by slide mold Sharply reproduced cargo and jerry cans Turret hatch can be assembled open/closed Chassis possesses full detail Detailed wheels w/authentic tire tread pattern Germany created a number of successful schwerer Panzerspahwagen ("heavy armored reconnaissance vehicles") to support its forces. In fact, a whole family of vehicles was based on the Sd.Kfz.231 8-Rad ("eight-wheel") design. This type of heavy armored car was ordered in 1934, and one of its special features was its chassis that featured 8-wheel drive and 8-wheel steering. This chassis was produced by Bussing-NAG and it offered good cross-country mobility. There were dual driver's controls, which meant the vehicle could drive rapidly in either direction if it came under attack. The 8.3-ton Sd.Kfz.231 was built from 1936 through till May 1942, with some 607 vehicles produced in all (including the closely related Sd.Kfz.232). The Sd.Kfz.231 had a hexagonal-shaped turret mounting a 2cm KwK 30 cannon plus one MG34 machine gun. Dragon earlier released a brand new 1/72 scale plastic kit of the Sd.Kfz.232, which differed in that it was fitted with more powerful radios and a large frame antenna. Now the Armor Pro series is offering the standard Sd.Kfz.231 8-Rad. The upper and lower hull sections are made as one-piece slide-molded elements. Indeed, the upper hull is completely new, as is the hexagonal-shaped turret. Logically, most other parts stem from the earlier well-detailed Sd.Kfz.232 model. This armored car design was composed of many irregularly shaped and angled plates, so the kit obviously requires extremely precise tolerances when it fits together. Thanks to the use of CAD drawings and high-tech molding techniques, the vehicle's parts fit together flawlessly. The unique shape of this classic German 8x8 armored vehicle is beautifully captured by Dragon. Per saperne di più
  5. Flakpanzer 341 mit 2cm Flakvierling
    20,00 €

Features: New 2cm MG 151/20 Flak cannons can be adjusted to different elevations Hollow cannon muzzles Delicate cupola molded on Flakpanzer 341 Detailed design for rear plate and stowage boxes Engine deck w/delicate details Armored side skirts reproduced Slide-molded upper hull w/full detail Intricate road wheels One-piece DS tracks At the start of WWII the Luftwaffe ruled the skies, but this dominance was gradually overturned as the war progressed. This led to a dire need for more antiaircraft vehicles for ground forces, and early efforts at producing a Flakpanzer centered on utilizing the Panzer IV chassis. However, the famous German Panther medium tank was also used as a platform for developmental work, with the Coelian perhaps being the best-known example. In May 1943, a proposed Rheinmetall design showed two pairs of Vierling MG151/20 antiaircraft cannons mounted in a Turm Panther II. This turret was heavily armored and it featured the pairs of cannons offset from each other and mounted at different heights. This Flakpanther 341 mit 2cm Flakvierling design never advanced much further…except in terms of Dragon’s superb new 1/72 scale plastic kit! The kit uses the finely detailed chassis of previous kits, to which are added a brand new turret and flak cannons. Parts fit together accurately, as is to be expected of Dragon’s high engineering standards. Although this particular antiaircraft vehicle never entered production, it makes for a fascinating modeling subject that gives plenty of scope for customization and creativity. For starters, it can be painted in an intriguing camouflage scheme! Per saperne di più
  6. 5.5cm Zwilling Flakpanzer

This called for more effective antiaircraft systems than Germany hitherto possessed. A new vehicle was planned – the 5.5cm Zwilling Flakpanzer V – though like the Flakpanzer V “Coelian”, it was never put into production. Development of the twin-barrel 5.5cm Zwilling was authorized on 8 May 1944 and it featured a special Krupp armored turret weighing 9.06 tonnes mounted on a Panther Ausf.G chassis. The antiaircraft vehicle would require a four-man crew and carry 104 ammo rounds. A wooden prototype turret was completed by January 1945, although further development of the 5.5cm Zwilling Flakpanzer V was eventually cancelled on 14 February. Per saperne di più
  7. Panzerfahre Gepanzerte Landwasserschlepper Prototype Nr.I

A small number of this unarmored boat-like vehicle was built and they served on the Eastern Front. However, less well known is the vehicle designed as its successor – the Panzerfahre (abbreviated to "PzF"). The main difference with this vehicle was that it was armored, plus it was conveniently based on the chassis of a Panzer IV Ausf.F tank. Development of the Panzerfahre began in early 1941, and by mid-1942 Magirus had delivered two prototypes. The lightly armored, fully tracked vehicle had a boat-like bow and a propeller at the stern. The vehicle's main function was combat supply on land and in water. It could tow an amphibious trailer, or alternatively it could work in tandem with another Panzerfahre as a floating ferry platform capable of carrying a 24-ton load. However, as heavier tanks appeared on the scene, the Panzerfahre never went into production because of its inadequate payload. Dragon released a 1/35 scale kit of this fascinating vehicle a while back, and now it is being released in the smaller 1/72 scale. It depicts the first Panzerfahre prototype, and it makes clever use of parts from Dragon's Panzer IV models – for example, wheels, suspension and tracks. Meanwhile, all other parts are brand new in line with the unique nature of this vehicle. Details such as hull rivets are delicately rendered, while slide molds are widely used. Modelers will find this kit assembles easily. The finished item is a stunning vehicle, and the scale allows space for modelers to put it in a suitable diorama showing a river or riverbank. Features: Ersatz M10 is accurately presented One-piece upper hull accurately replicated One-piece 7.5cm Kw.K 42 L/70 gun barrel Hollow muzzle brake Track links have guide horns for maximum accuracy Engine deck w/detail parts One-piece DS tracks High-quality Cartograf decals One of Germany's last desperate gambles of WWII was its offensive in the Ardennes on 16 December 1944. Known today as the Battle of Bulge, the aim was to split British and American forces in half and drive all the way to Antwerp. Panzer Brigade 150 had a role in this plan. This formation was supposed to create surprise and confusion with clandestine armored vehicles! It included five Panther Ausf.G tanks physically disguised and painted to resemble U.S. Army M10 tank destroyers. Modifications included removal of the Panther cupola and stowage boxes on the rear of the hull. Sheet metal on the hull front, turret and turret overhang was fabricated to disguise the form of the Panther. The transformation was completed with an olive drab paint scheme and Allied stars painted on the turret and glacis. This handful of vehicles was designated Ersatz (i.e. 'substitute') M10. Dragon has produced an amazing 1/72 scale kit of these Ersatz M10 vehicles. This is the first time this unique tank has been created in plastic in this scale. The kit is based on Dragon’s Panther Ausf.G, but the original Panther incorporates a host of new items to suit this Ersatz M10. The turret and the upper hull are brand new, made by slide mold. This long-awaited item is an icon of the Battle of Bulge, and will surely produce an authentic Ardennes diorama together with various items stemming from the Battle of the Bulge Dragon released before. Now Dragon is offering its partner, the VK.45.02(P)V, with the ‘V’ in the designation denoting Vorwarts. This alludes to the fact that the turret was mounted further forward on the hull (i.e. in front of rather than behind the engines) in a more conventional manner than occurred with the H type. One example was to see combat. The one-piece upper hull on this kit is a brand new molding suitable for this variant. The unique deck layout depicts the accurate engine deck details. The hull also carries the Porsche turret later assigned to the Tiger II, and there are also easy-to-assemble DS tracks. The ‘V’ version of this Porsche prototype allows modelers to move forward onto something new and special! Per saperne di più
