It adopts stealth technology and it is characterized by the trapezoidal wings and by the use of the most advanced hi-tech materials and avionic systems. Developed to perform air superiority, close air support and ground attack missions, it has been design in different configurations. The F-35A is the conventional takeoff and landing variant, the F-35B is the short takeoff and vertical landing variant and the F-35C, with foldable-wings, has been developed to be used from conventional deck carriers. Thanks to its operational flexibility, the advanced on-board technology and the impressive project innovation, the F-35 lightning II will be a reference aircraft in the twenty-first century military aviation. Thanks to its large, swing-rotors, the Osprey is able to take off and land just like a helicopter. Once off the ground, thanks to the rotation of its engines, it flies like a normal plane, reaching the speed and range hitherto unheard of for a traditional “chopper”. Il 311mo Gruppo Volo costituisce oggi uno dei centri sperimentali aeronautici tecnologicamente più avanzati ed è formato da personale altamente preparato e qualificato. The Ju 87 was a single-engined cantilever monoplane and its structure was all-metal. The main construction material was duralumin, and the external coverings were made of Duralumin sheeting. The wing was the most unusual feature and consisted of a single center section and two outer sections. The center section had a large negative dihedral and the outer surfaces a positive dihedral.
