UPGRADED MOULDS The Fiat G -91 was an interesting project, designed in the '50s by the Italian engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli , to develop a light fighter bomber able to perform ground close support and reconnaissance duties. The project was particularly appreciate by several NATO Countries looking for a light, small, low cost, but reliable and maneuverable strike fighter. Further more some pre-production converted machines were used by Italian aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori, and knew as G-91 PAN. The G-91, equipped with smoke generators replaced, in 1963, the rather old F-86 Sabre, and equipped the flight line of aerobatic team for almost 20 years. With the characteristic “Frecce Tricolori” blue livery, the G-91 PAN was the protagonist of the most important airshows and events in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Only after 20 years of success, in the early ‘80s, the G- 91 was replaced by the new Aermacchi MB-339. Per saperne di più -

21,00 €The HS-123 attack biplane was built for the renascent German air force during the 30s following a revision of the strict limitations placed on the German armed forces by the victors of the First World War. A typical biplane of that epoch, the HS-123 combined good manoeuvrability with a simple, tough airframe. It was first used during the Spanish Civil war to support frontline troops; in the Second World War it was used to support infantry on the eastern front until, quite simply, there were no more left. Messerschmitt Me 262 B - 1a / U1. Deriving from the Messerschmitt Me 262 A, the B-1a/U1 version was developed to produce a night time reaction bomber intended to check the numerous allied bomber air raids over the skies of Germany in the last phase of World War II. Equipped with the characteristic Neptun system antenna masts on its nose, it was characterised with a two-man fuselage which housed the pilot and the radar operator. Like the one-man Me 262 A version, it was powered by two Junker Jumo 004-B jet propulsion engines that brought it to a record speed, for the 1940’s, of 870 Km/h at a 6,000 metre altitude, making it about 150 Km/h faster than any other allied piston engine bomber. Heavily armed with 4 MK 108 30mm cannons, it arrived at operation units too late and with only a few models, but it quickly obtained a good number of victories over the allied airplanes.
