The F-16 is the most widely used combat fighter aircraft in western air forces. After entering service over 30 years ago, this is valid testimony to the quality of the original concept. This has been supported by constant upgrades during its operational service. The F-16 was developed to meet USAF requirements as well as to offer allied nations a fighter to replace the existing F-100s, F-5s, F-104s and Mirages in the late 70s. A revolutionary new aerodynamic profile gives the F-16 excellent flying performance and great maneuverability. Together with the single seat version, the double seat was developed to train pilots in this new aircraft. Originally conceived to learn the increasing capacities of new electronic technologies, these training versions have been progressively converted to a true attack aircraft by the U.S. and Israeli Air Forces. They are deployed next to the fewer and more expensive F-15’s. The most recent F-16 DG and DJ versions are based on the Block 50 cell. Thanks to their sophisticated night vision systems with electronic equipment which allows for the use of laser and satellite guided ammunitions; this machine has turned into a real multi-role aircraft. Republic F - 84F Thunderstreak The first Republic F-84F Thunderstreaks began service in the United States Air Force around the middle of the 1950’s. Differently from the previous F-84 Thunderjet, it was characterised with a swept-wing and a powerful Wright J-65 engine which brought it to a maximum speed of over 1,100 Km/h, beyond the sound barrier. The F84F equipped the bomber formations of the newly founded NATO air forces during the first phase of the Cold War. It was used, among others, by Italy, France, West Germany, the Netherlands, Greece and Turkey. The F-84F Thunderstreak was armed with 6 12.7 mm machine guns and had a transport capacity, at the hooking points below the wings, of over 2,700 kg of combat payload or else supplementary fuel tanks to extend its range of action. In the Italian Military Air Force it was also used by the aerobatic team called the “Red Devils”, by the 6th brigade and by the “Thundering Jets” of the 5th air brigade. Per saperne di più -

Unconfirmed WWII legend states that Japanese soldiers referred to the Bristol Beaufighter as "Whispering Death". Beaufighters were much quieter than most aircraft of the time and the Mk.IF night fighter variant incorporated a ranging radar set that could pick out targets on the blackest nights. Once targets were found, stealth went out the window. Four 20mm cannons and six .303 machine guns ensured that enemy targets were shredded in volcanic gouts of fire. This kit features structured surfaces, detailed twin radial engines, moveable propeller, detailed cockpit with pilot figure, navigation compartment with figure, tail-wheel selectively down or retracted, separate navigation lights, under-carriage selectively down or retracted, radar antennae, and removable engine cowling's.
