  1. Royal Navy Westland Seaking AEW.2
    36,00 €

Features: 5-blade tail rotor realistically produced New Sea King AEW.2 rendered w/stunning detail Windshield wipers molded on cockpit Cockpit glazing made from crystal-clear parts Detailed landing gear and buoyancy sponsons Radome for Searchwater radar attached to the fuselage on a swivel arm Details and fittings molded on belly of Sea King AEW.2 fuselage Authentic rotor w/intricate detail Realistic pilot's seats included Slightly curved rotor blades reproduced Realistic steps included One-piece fuselage reproduced w/intricate details Strengthened landing gear realistically portrayed This year marks the anniversary of the Falklands War that occurred 30 years ago in 1982, and Cyber Hobby is commemorating the historic event with a second 1/72 scale kit of the Sea King helicopter. Modelers enthusiastically received the brand new Westland WS-61 Sea King HC.4 troop-carrying variant, and that Cyber-Hobby item proved an instant hit. This second kit depicts the rare airborne early warning AEW.2 helicopter. Combat in the Falklands War revealed an AEW gap in the capability of the Royal Navy (RN), and even while the conflict was under way, Westland began converting two Sea King HAS.2 helicopters in May 1982. After the crash development program, these two helicopters joined the replacement task force when it set sail in August although they were too late to participate in the actual fighting. The AEW.2s featured a Thorn-EMI ARI 5930/3 Searchwater radar mounted in an inflatable radome fitted to a swivel arm. This new helicopter in 1/72 scale makes use of elements of the Cyber-Hobby HC.4, but it features a number of newly tooled parts in order to portray the AEW.2 version. One obvious example is the radar radome. The plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and the foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. With appropriate decal markings from Cartograf, this Sea King AEW.2 is ready to search for the approach of the enemy! Per saperne di più

In fact, the Bf109 holds the distinction of being the most widely produced fighter in history. Nearly 34,000 were produced up till April 1945! A range of wartime variants were developed, with the E (“Emil”) series being the first major redesign of this highly successful platform that wrought havoc on Allied and Russian opponents. Of the 561 E-4 aircraft built, 211 were of the E-4/B “Jabo” type. It was first used against shipping in the English Channel in July 1940, and it could carry a single 250kg bomb or four 50kg bombs. Based on previous Bf109s, this new Bf109E-4/B has resulted in precise detail and easy assembly for modelers of all skill levels. Every detail is accurately presented in plastic, and some parts such as the pilot’s seatbelt are even included as photo-etched metal items for superior realism. DS is also used for the landing-gear compartment to provide the necessary level of detail. The redesigned squared-off cockpit canopy is produced especially for this kit. A variety of marking options are available as high-quality Cartograf decals. Per saperne di più

Initially, this twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy. It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world. Many other nations adopted the Sea King design, including Japan, where it was license-produced by Mitsubishi. Indeed, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) widely used the Sea King as an ASW platform. Some 18 S-61A Sea Kings were used in search-and-rescue (SAR) roles too. Sometimes these were deployed to Antarctica aboard naval icebreakers such as Shirase. Japan maintains the Asuka, Mizuho, Showa and Dome Fuji Stations in Antarctica, and the JMSDF is responsible for Japan's Antarctica Observation activities. Cyber-Hobby is expanding the popular Sea King family by providing a kit of an S-61A in Antarctica Observation service with the JMSDF. The kit is well designed and cleverly engineered, and it incorporates all the updates necessary for this Japanese version. For example, four brand new mirrors are installed on the front of the cabin to aid the pilot's view. The two halves of the fuselage have also been updated to include appropriate new side windows. Another special Japanese addition is a searchlight mounted on the side of the body. The cabin doors can be displayed open if wished, allowing a tantalizing view of the helicopter's interior. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings and a suitable paint scheme, this S-61A variant of the Sea King is ready for action in the frigid climes of Antarctica! Per saperne di più

The subject is a delightful model of the Westland WS-61 Sea King HC.4, the troop-carrying variant as used by the Royal Navy. The British Sea King is a license-produced version of the Sikorsky S-61, and the long-lived design still remains in UK service. The first of an eventual production run of 89 HC.4s were delivered in 1979, just a few years before the conflict with Argentina broke out. The Sea King HC.4 was a workhorse during the Falklands conflict, transporting troops, conducting replenishments and inserting special forces. The craft can carry up to 2.5-tonne underslung loads such as a Land Rover or L118 105mm howitzer. This Cyber-Hobby helicopter is a brand new tooling in 1/72 scale. The plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and is furnished with a full level of detail both inside and outside. The cabin doors can be displayed open if wished, allowing an even more tantalizing view of the helicopter’s interior. The foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too.
