This meant the nation needed more effective high-altitude interceptor aircraft to fight off the heavy bombers. One solution was the Focke-Wulf Ta152, a high-altitude interceptor fighter derived from the Fw190. There were three different versions planned, with the Ta152C designed for lower-altitude operations and ground attack. Thus it had a different engine and smaller wings than the Ta152H and Ta152E. Interestingly, the name was changed from Fw to Ta to reflect the important influence paid by designer Kurt Tank. The first Ta152H entered service in January 1945, and with only a little over 40 production aircraft, it had minimal impact on the result of WWII. Because of the rush to get the aircraft into production, insufficient time was allotted to its development, leading to teething problems. Dragon has produced a new 1/48 scale kit of the Ta152. This particular kit is of the Ta152C-0, which was a pre-production aircraft. Although only one prototype was built, this kit from Dragon means it is now available to all modelers. The kit includes brand new wings, plus a new engine and radiator cowling. These new parts, as well as highly detailed elements for the rest of the aircraft, are accurately detailed and dimensionally correct. The plastic parts are sharply molded, and there are options for showing such parts as the cowling flaps or cockpit open or closed. Two frets of photo-etched parts are also offered to upgrade detail. This is an exciting kit of a novel aircraft, and for modelers wanting a late-war interceptor, this Ta152C-0 from Dragon is the answer. Per saperne di più

    33,00 €

◾Newly tooled Blue Jay missile ◾Newly designed crystal-clear canopy can be assembled open/closed ◾Authentic Sea Venom scale model ◾Wings can be assembled extended/folded ◾Air intakes accurately represented ◾Intricate fuselage for Sea Venom FAW.21 ◾Fuselage possesses metal-skinned appearance ◾Delicate arresting hook can be shown stowed for flight or deployed for landing ◾Intricate landing-gear bay included ◾Landing gear can be assembled in either flying or taxiing positions ◾Detailed cockpit interior includes pilot's seat and control panel ◾Landing flaps can be displayed extended/retracted ◾Twin-boom tail made by slide-mold technology ◾Realistic jet exhausts reproduced ◾Folding-wing mechanism rendered w/fine detail Cyber Hobby continues to impress with its latest 1/72 scale release - a de Havilland Sea Venom FAW.21 aircraft distinguished by the inclusion of a Blue Jay missile. This British aircraft was a jet fighter capable of operating from aircraft carriers, and thus it had folding wings, a strengthened undercarriage, modified canopy to permit underwater ejection, and a tailhook. The Sea Venom operated as an interceptor with the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. This Cyber Hobby kit represents the production version known as FAW.21 (Fighter, All-Weather), which first flew in April 1954. Production of the FAW.21 ceased in 1957. This model aircraft carries a Blue Jay (also known as Firestreak) missile, a type that entered service in 1957 as Britain's first ever air-to-air missile. This 1/72 scale kit is the fruit of brand new toolings produced earlier for Item No.5096. However, it now features a completely new Blue Jay missile under the wings, which adds much visual impact to the model. Naturally, the whole kit's extremely well engineered to support convenient and easy assembly, including numerous parts produced with the aid of slide molds. Panel lines are sharply and accurately delineated using laser crafting, while the streamlined form of the fuselage and twin-boom tail is realistically captured in its entirety. Cartograf has also supplied a range of beautiful marking options to finish off this Sea Venom. This new kit of the Sea Venom armed with British first-generation missiles adds muscle to Cyber Hobby's aircraft kit collection! Per saperne di più

The Battle of Midway (4-7 June 1942) was the defining naval engagement of the Pacific Campaign during WWII. It occurred just six months after Japan’s surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and resulted in a decisive victory for the US Navy (USN). The battle resulted in the loss of four Japanese aircraft carriers, a heavy cruiser, 248 carrier-borne aircraft and 3,057 sailors, a costly blow the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and its shipbuilding industry couldn’t recover from. One historian even called it “the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare.” The IJN attacked Midway Atoll and sought to sweep the USN into oblivion via an ambush. However, the US had been able to break Japanese codes and so the USA sprung its own trap on the Japanese! Cyber-Hobby is proud to announce the release of a 1/72 scale kit of a Japanese Aichi D3A dive-bomber that took part in this fierce battle. Cyber-Hobby has done a sterling job on this 1/72 dive-bomber kit. This time it comes with brand new Cartograf decals that offer a splendid selection of markings suitable for aircraft participating in the Battle of Midway. It uses the same toolings that were created using highly advanced CAD techniques, and the result is an amazingly detailed aircraft. The engine and cockpit are both fully represented. Due to its primary role as a dive-bomber, the model sensibly comes with a payload of a 250kg bomb. And as a carrier-borne aircraft, its 14.37m-wide wings could be folded up to save space. This feature too is carried over into the model; builders can select whether they want the plane to have folded or extended wings. There are no halfway measures when it comes to the detail exhibited on this Midway Aicha Type 99 model! Per saperne di più

Special Features: -Wire cutter reproduced by photo-etched parts to recreate scale thickness -Cockpit canopy made from clear plastic -Propellers finely reproduced -Landing gear has crisp detail -Photo-etched parts to upgrade level of detail -Markings by Cartograf decals About the Ju88A-6 One of the most versatile designs of WWII, the Ju88 was a twin-engine multi-role aircraft flown by the Luftwaffe. A total of approximately 15,000 of this vital aircraft were manufactured. One of the more novel versions was the Ju88A-6, which was basically a Ju88A-5 fitted with a balloon cutting device. It was intended to clear the way for a bomber force by cutting the tether cables of barrage balloons. The specific equipment involved a front-mounted fender terminating at the wingtips, with a cable-cutting device installed at each end. The apparatus weighed a total of 380kg, requiring a further 60kg counterweight to be fitted in the tail. Dragon has launched an impressive scale model of this particular aircraft. It is based on Dragon’s highly successful Ju88 1/48 series of kits, so quality and accuracy are ensured. The new balloon cutting device has been reproduced in photo-etched parts so that the thin frame is truly produced to scale and is accurately proportioned. Not only does it feature the fender and cutting devices, but a whole range of other photo-etched components provide upgraded detail. Some of these have even been pre-painted for the added convenience of modelers. On the original aircraft, the extra weight and drag caused the Ju88A-6 to be slow and sluggish, thus making it an easy target. They were soon withdrawn and converted back to standard bombers. This Dragon model is not such a party-pooper, however, for this accurate and spectacularly detailed model is ready to pop balloons! Per saperne di più
