HARVARD Mk.IIA SUPER DECALS SHEET Harvard is the name assigned to the North American T-6 Texan aircraft utilised by the Air Force in the British Commonwealth. It was also produced under license in Canada. The Harvard was a low-wing single engine advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots and make them ready for combat. Thanks to its Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp 600 hp radial engine, it was able to reach the speed of 335 km / h. The project was developed in the mid-'30s and it became one of the most popular trainer aircraft in aviation history by contributing to the training of a large number of military pilots. Outside of the United States, the British RAF was the most prominent user. However, by the end of World War II, the Harvard had an impressive spread and was used by the air forces of several Countries including Canada, Italy, Belgium and Netherlands . The airframe structure of the Arado was optimized for the embarked purposes on main Germans vessels and cruisers. It can be catapulted directly from the vessel and with its fuselage-wing hinges backwards folding wings system, it can be better stowed on board. The fame for the Arado Ar 196 if for being an embarked recognisance (the battle cruisers Scharnhost and Gneisenau had three of them on board while the more famous ship of the Kriegsmarine, the Bismarck, had four Arado Ar 196) was used also in the role of cost shore reconnisance. Despite its extensive amour and armament the A-10 is highly maneuverable which is particularly important to overcome enemy anti-aircraft fire. The Thunderbolt (also called “Warthog”) was practically built around its remarkable 30 mm gun GAU-8, which can perforate tank amour with its special high performance ammunition. The aircraft was widely used during the Gulf War, where it successfully destroyed a few hundred Iraqis vehicles with minimum losses despite the heavy enemy defense of conventional and missile fire power.
