UPGRADED MOULDS The Fiat G -91 was an interesting project, designed in the '50s by the Italian engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli , to develop a light fighter bomber able to perform ground close support and reconnaissance duties. The project was particularly appreciate by several NATO Countries looking for a light, small, low cost, but reliable and maneuverable strike fighter. Further more some pre-production converted machines were used by Italian aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori, and knew as G-91 PAN. The G-91, equipped with smoke generators replaced, in 1963, the rather old F-86 Sabre, and equipped the flight line of aerobatic team for almost 20 years. With the characteristic “Frecce Tricolori” blue livery, the G-91 PAN was the protagonist of the most important airshows and events in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Only after 20 years of success, in the early ‘80s, the G- 91 was replaced by the new Aermacchi MB-339. Per saperne di più -

The Hawker Hunter, which came into service in the mid-50s, was born from a specific Royal Air Force requirement, in the late 40s, highlighted the need for a jet fighter aircraft similar, in terms of performance, to the American F-86 Sabre and the Soviet MiG-15. Featured by a strong structure, it was able to reach, thanks to its Rolls-Royce Avon engine, 1,150 Km/h. Heavily armed with 4 30 mm. cannons, the Hunter reached the full maturity of the project only with the version F.6 with a better engine performance, reliability and flight autonomy. ES-3A Shadow The ES-3A Shadow has been derived directly from the famous twin-engines anti-submarine Lockheed S-3 Viking. It was designed as a carrier-based, subsonic, all-weather, long-range, electronic reconnaissance aircraft with the specific purpose to replace the aging EA-3B Skywarrior starting from the beginning of '90s. Basically the ES-3A was developed on modified S-3A where an extensive set of electronic and modern sensors and communication tools replaced the submarine detection and maritime surveillance equipment. The new operating configuration has not changed the flight performance of Lockheed airframe. The ES-3A has in fact a good flight range and it is very reliable. Such features are very appreciate for its new mission profile to support the U.S. Navy fleet in the tactical communications of the various units of the battle group. Per saperne di più -

Modello: 38,1 cm SUPER DECAL - ISTRUZIONI A COLORI Il primo novembre del 1956 nasceva la componente aerea del Reparto Sperimentale Volo dell’Aeronautica Militare Italiana. Il reparto, altamente specializzato, venne identificato con il distintivo numerico “311°”. Per celebrare i sessant’ anni di attività è stata sviluppata, per un Tornado IDS del Reparto, una speciale livrea che ha riscosso un grande interesse ed è stata particolarmente apprezzata durante la manifestazione commemorativa dell’ ottobre 2016. Il 311mo Gruppo Volo costituisce oggi uno dei centri sperimentali aeronautici tecnologicamente più avanzati ed è formato da personale altamente preparato e qualificato. Il Tornado IDS, nato da un programma di collaborazione tra Italia, Gran Bretagna e Germania per lo sviluppo di un aereo d’attacco durante gli anni ’70, è stato prodotto in quasi 1.000 esemplari dimostrando le sue straordinarie capacità operative ed aeronautiche. The Mk. IX version was first produced in large numbers at the end of 1942. Over the course of its long operational use, this fighter aircraft was used to "transport" beer to lift up the spirits of English troops right after the landing in Normandy in the summer of 1944.
