The idea of installing a Junkers Jumo 213A engine (until then mainly used on bombers) in a Focke-Wulf 190 airframe was born of a need to improve the high altitude performance of the aircraft: the A and F versions, in fact, suffered a significant drop in speed above 7,000m. AB 204B / UH-1 F AB - 204 B / UH - 1 F This version of the famous helicopter UH-1 Huey was produced in Italy under license for the Italian armed forces. Later other European countries were supplied as well with AB-204 Bs. (Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden). The AB-204 was built with a more powerful engine than the previous B/C version. It was equipped with part of the fuselage of the bigger UH-1 D Slick type. Despite its capability of carrying a vast assortment of armament, this chopper became mainly a supply and support aircraft. SUPER DECALS SHEET The twin-engine high swept wing Douglas RB-66 Destroyer entered in service in the mid- 50s to equip the USAF photo-reconnaissance squadrons. Derived, as the Douglas B-66 bomber version, from the A-3 Skywarrior, it had adopted a lot of changes compared to the US Navy aircraft. Thanks to the two J71 turbojet engines, the Destroyer was able to reach a max speed of 940 Km/h and guarantee an operative range of 1,800 miles. The equipment for the reconnaissance were installed in the loading bombs bay. A lot of RB-66s had been used by the USAF Squadrons located in Great Britain, Germany and Japan during the escalation of the Cold Wars proving their effectiveness in the intelligence and recon duties.
