Entered in service in the first part of 80’s, it maintained the typical “delta wing” aerodynamic design but, compared to the previous generation French fighters, the Mirage 2000 has adopted significant technical improvements. Thanks to its SNECMA afterburning turbofan engine, it is able to reach the speed of Mach 2.2. It has a great maneuverability and it can carry a various set of offensive weapons. The Mirage 2000C is often considered the first new generation fighter, produced in Europe, to be entered in operational service. The SU-34 is a development of the outstanding air superiority fighter SU-27 Flanker, which entered service with the Soviet forces towards the later Eighties. Major characteristics, superior to the Flanker, are: high manoeuvrability, an operational range of 4'000 km and a high payload. This plane will gradually replace the SU-24 Fencer, presently in service. The SU-34 has a completely redesigned front section to accommodate a two-seat cockpit with complex electronics to precision navigate and operate the sophisticated air-to-ground missile system. Bretling DC-3 Italeri Type: Cargo Period: Between the two Wars Country: United States Skill: 3 Model Dim.: 27,3 cm A group of fans managed to fly from Florida to Switzerland with a DC-3 built in 1940 and there it was registered as HB-IRJ. Breitling used it as advertising support and the operator is the Super Constellation Flyers Association. On March 12, 1940 the aeroplane was commissioned by American Airlines. Meanwhile, it has accumulated more than 74.000 hours of flight time and is still today in excellent condition. It reached a speed of 250 km/h and the aircraft does not have a pressurised cabin. The crew consists of two pilots and a flight attendant. The DC-3 can even land at airports with a firm or grass runway with a length greater than 1.100 m. Per saperne di più -

Alenia’s C-27J Spartan is the new well implemented and updated version of the predecessor tactical transport G 222. Two new and powerful turboprop Rolls-Royce AE2100-D2 are capable to bring the Spartan to exceed a speed of 600 km/H. It can transport up to 68 solders, 46 fully equipped parachutists or more then 11 tons of equipment. F-104 G “RECCE” The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot.The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range.With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service.
