Towards the end of the thirties this impressive twin-engine plane was developed by the German aviation industry. It was the basic idea to support and later substitute the heavy fighter Bf-110. The ME-210 frequently had problems when landing, causing a lot of serious accidents. The plane was also under-powered which led to many shortcomings. These defects limited the life span of this aircraft considerably. Despite of a series of modifications (which culminated in its successor, the ME-410) the plane terminated service as a reconnaissance plane, but well before the end of the war. Per saperne di più -

F4U - 5N CORSAIR - MODEL SET - The Corsair is one of the best known airplanes of World War Il which fought against the entire array of aircraft used by the Japanese Forces in the Pacific theatre. After the war the Corsairs were set aside, together with other propeller-driven planes, to expect demolition awaiting replacement by jet aircraft. In 1950, at the outbreak of the Korean conflict, more than one hundred units were re-activated to combat the onslaught of the North Korean Forces. Developed by Dornier as replacement of the old “Wal”, the new Do-24 was characterized by a power plant of three 940 HP Bramo wing-mounted radial engines. The solution adopted, much more modern and reliable than the previous one, combined with a robust parasol-wing and twin tails, allowed to Dornier Do-24 to reach a top speed of 340 Km/h. Thanks to its range of 2,700 Km and thanks to its offensive load of 1,200 Kg, the Dornier Do-24 has been used for several operational tasks on all fronts.
