MC.202/MC.205 Italian ACES THE BOX CONTAINS 2 MODELS - SUPER DECALS SHEET (6 VERSION) The Macchi MC 202 Folgore has been a real innovation for the Italian Regia Aeronautoca fighter squadrons. Extraordinarily beautiful, from the aerodynamic point of view, it was equipped with the powerful German engines produced under license by the Italian manufacturers. Thanks to the new engines and the strength of the project, the Macchi MC 202 become immediately an effective “dogfighter” able to counterbalance the performances of Allied fighters. The “202” evolution was the Macchi MC 205 Veltro, featured with an heavier armament and a more modern and more powerful engine. A lot of Regia Aeronautica Aces, who had fought on the CR-42 biplanes and on the dated G-50 and Mc-200, found in Macchi’s fighter their warhorse. SU - 27D Sea Flanker Together with the smaller Mig-29 the Sukhoy SU-27 is the most modern Soviet aircraft of the Nineties. Due to its features - speed, maneuvrability, electronic equipment and armament - this plane is on, the same level as Western airpianes. From the original Flanker-B version (which was introduced in 1989) further versions were developed such as the carrier variant, which is used for the new air-craft carriers of the Tbiisi class. The AC-119K could be easily recognized thanks to its two additional General Electric J85 turbojet engines in under wing pods. This allowed the availability of a heavier armament, consisting of two M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannons in addition to the AC-119G's four “miniguns”, and the possibility to have more modern and updated navigation and electronic countermeasures systems on board. The Blue Angels, the United States Navy's flying aerobatic team, were created in 1946 immediately after the end of World War II. On November 1986, during the 40th anniversary year events, the Blue Angels made their transition from subsonic A-4 Skyhawk II to the new the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The Blue Angels had already flown on aircrafts characterized by big size, as the F-4 Phantom II, but the choice of flying on a supersonic plane was, at those time, in contrast with the rest of the aerobatic teams, mostly Europeans, who preferred more maneuverable trainers. However, thanks to the F / A-18 Hornet extraordinary flying qualities and, in particular, the high maneuverability , the choice done was an immediate success and the new aircraft has made possible to implement a high level aerobatic program.
