Produced at the of the thirties in the double-version, civil and military, this massive twin-engined Junkers bomber of advanced technological conception had its first flight with the Condor Legion during the Spanish War. Although the motors were subject to mechanical failures, in 1942 it was taken back into service in the front line as a transport plane, in the desperate attempt to supply Von Paulus 6th Army besieged at Stalingrad. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was developed by Fairchild Republic in the seventies with the purpose to create, accordingly the needs of USAF, a powerful aircraft capable to perform close air support missions including attacking tanks and armoured vehicles. The Thunderbolt II is heavily armoured and exceptionally tough. It is characterised by the two General Electric turbofan engines and the adoption of one of the most powerful aircraft gun ever flown : the 30 mm. GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling. Thanks to its eleven underwing and under fuselage pillars, the A-10 can carry an impressive offensive pay-load. To celebrate the event during the Payerne Air Show Air 14 from 30 August to 7 September of 2014 was realized a new commemorative livery for one F-18 . F-104 G “RECCE” The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot.The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range.With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. FULLY UPGRADED MOULDS - SUPER DECALS SHEET - COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET The Dornier Do 24 was a broad-beamed hull flying boat designed to perform reconaissance, bomber, maritime patrol , search and rescue duties. Developed by Dornier as replacement of the old “Wal”, the new Do-24 was characterized by a power plant of three 940 HP Bramo wing-mounted radial engines. The solution adopted, much more modern and reliable than the previous one, combined with a robust parasol-wing and twin tails, allowed to Dornier Do-24 to reach a top speed of 340 Km/h. Thanks to its range of 2,700 Km and thanks to its offensive load of 1,200 Kg, the Dornier Do-24 has been used for several operational tasks on all fronts.
