The new multi-role EF-2000 fighter is being developed by a consortium of German, British, Italian and Spanish industries. After a series of delays of economical and technkcal nature, several prototypes have been built in the late nineties. Besides the singe-seat version the twin-seat variant was designated for pilot training and precision missiles attack missions. The idea of installing a Junkers Jumo 213A engine (until then mainly used on bombers) in a Focke-Wulf 190 airframe was born of a need to improve the high altitude performance of the aircraft: the A and F versions, in fact, suffered a significant drop in speed above 7,000m. It was able to reach, as maximum speed, 375 Km / h. Among the most famous biplanes of aviation History the CR 32 was characterized by an extraordinary maneuverability. It was also strong, very reliable and well armed for the historical period, with two 12.7 mm Breda-Safat machine gun located on the top of engine and firing through the propeller disc. The Fiat CR 32 had its baptism of fire with the Legionary Air Forces, during the Spanish Civil War, and soon obtained the air superiority against the Soviet-made monoplane fighters, like the Polikarpov I-16, that formed the Squadrons of Republican Aviation. Thanks to the extraordinary mobility and the training of pilots, the Italian fighters prevailed even on from more modern enemy airplanes such as the Soviet-made Tupolev SB-2 bomber considered, thanks to its speed, impossible to be intercepted. 17,00 €MIG 29A Fulcrum SUPER DECALS SHEET The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a twin-engine supersonic air-superiority fighter designed during the’70s to counter new American planes, such as McDonnell Douglas F-15. It entered in service in the Soviet Union Air Force in the early 80s. Thanks to its two Klimov RD-33 afterburning turbofan engines, the Fulcrum is able to reach the maximum speed of Mach 2,2. It is characterized by a very elegant and harmonious aerodynamic profile with a flat and wide fuselage and two vertical tail fins. The Mig 29 is armed with a 30 mm. gun in the port wing root and it can adopt a wide variety of air-to-air missiles ad the AA-8 “Aphid”, the AA-10 “Alamo” and the AA-11 “Archer”. It is widely used by the Russian Air Force and by the most part of Easter European Countries Air Forces. Among the others it has been adopted by the Indian Air Force. The MB-339 project was in fact based on the main aerodynamic characteristics of its predecessor, enhancing the role of advanced military trainer through the redesign of the forward fuselage to raise the instruction’s seat and to increase visibility. Thanks to its maneuverability, the good operational flexibility, and the possibility to load a wide range of weapons in its hard points under the wings, the MB 339 has also been developed to perform light attack and close support duties. The Italian Air Force is the main user of the MB-339 as advance trainer plane.
