JU - 87 B2 Stuka model set JU - 87 B2 STUKA - MODEL SET - The JU-87 dive bomber is certainly one of the most famous airplanes of World War II. This characteristic "inverted gullwing" aircraft became famous at the early stages of the war, when Germany had virtual air superiority. Later on the planess limits became obvious. The Stukas were then used as troop support aircraft on the Eastern front, where its robust fuselage proved to be quite adequate. During the final war period the plane was used as a night bomber where the flying qualities of its crews were important in a situation of technical and numeral inferiority. This sleak twin-engine plane is an evolution of the ME-210 which was supposed to substitute the M-110 as a heavy fighter plane. This plan did not materialize due to serious problems with the aircraft’s engines. All of this resulted in a series of modifications which ended with the realization of the Model 410. Yet, despite all the improvements, the airplane inherited some technical problems which made sufficient distribution to all the various Luftwaffe units impossible. BR.20 Cicogna. This aircraft first appeared in 1936 and was almost entirely built in metal. It became one of the most famous Italian medium bombers. The planes of the first series had their debut operationally in the Spanish Civil War with the 35th bomber Group “Le Cicogne” from which they took their name. In the same period the Japanese government order this aircraft for operation in ChinaIn 1939 the BR.20M appeared (M for "modificato" amended) on which there where several improvements and which had a different sharped nose. The BR.20's were placed with the various units of the Italian Royal Air Force and operated on almost all war fronts. In september 1940 the BR.20M's of the 13th and 43rd Bomber Wing took part in action, mainly at night, during the Battle of Britain operating from bases in Belgium, but were soon withdrawn as the situation in the Mediterranean worsened. With over 20,000 units produced from 1941, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it was the Luftwaffe’s most famous bomber. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 two star radial engine, with 14 1,700 Hp cylinders, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 653 Km/h. It was heavily armed with 2 MG 131 machine guns and 4 MG 151 20 mm cannons. Production of the A-8 version began in the first months of 1944, characterised with an injection system able to increase engine power, for brief periods, to over 1,900 Hp. From 1944 until May 1945 in all the Focke-Wulf factories, more than 6,500 190 A-8 models were constructed, to face the ever more frequent allied air raids. Decals for 2 versions.
