SUPER DECALS SHEET FOR 6 VERSIONS Developed in the early seventies from the American company Northrop, as direct evolution of its predecessor, the F-5E Tiger II was characterized by an increased power, a better maneuverability and better air-to-air performance. Its real strength, however, was represented by the low production and maintenance costs compared to a good combat effectiveness. Thanks to its cost / performance ratio the F-5E was chosen to equip the fighter squadrons of several air forces. Among these countries, the Swiss Air Force considered the F-5E suitable to meet the real unique features of which the Alpine Country needed. It was also produced under license by the Helvetic country. From the single-seat F-5E, the two-seat trainer F5-F has been directly derived. This sleak twin-engine plane is an evolution of the ME-210 which was supposed to substitute the M-110 as a heavy fighter plane. This plan did not materialize due to serious problems with the aircraft’s engines. All of this resulted in a series of modifications which ended with the realization of the Model 410. Yet, despite all the improvements, the airplane inherited some technical problems which made sufficient distribution to all the various Luftwaffe units impossible. F-104 G “RECCE” The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot.The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range.With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. 17,00 €MIG 29A Fulcrum SUPER DECALS SHEET The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a twin-engine supersonic air-superiority fighter designed during the’70s to counter new American planes, such as McDonnell Douglas F-15. It entered in service in the Soviet Union Air Force in the early 80s. Thanks to its two Klimov RD-33 afterburning turbofan engines, the Fulcrum is able to reach the maximum speed of Mach 2,2. It is characterized by a very elegant and harmonious aerodynamic profile with a flat and wide fuselage and two vertical tail fins. The Mig 29 is armed with a 30 mm. gun in the port wing root and it can adopt a wide variety of air-to-air missiles ad the AA-8 “Aphid”, the AA-10 “Alamo” and the AA-11 “Archer”. It is widely used by the Russian Air Force and by the most part of Easter European Countries Air Forces. Among the others it has been adopted by the Indian Air Force.
