The AC-119K could be easily recognized thanks to its two additional General Electric J85 turbojet engines in under wing pods. This allowed the availability of a heavier armament, consisting of two M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannons in addition to the AC-119G's four “miniguns”, and the possibility to have more modern and updated navigation and electronic countermeasures systems on board. Extraordinarily beautiful, from the aerodynamic point of view, it was equipped with the powerful German engines produced under license by the Italian manufacturers. Thanks to the new engines and the strength of the project, the Macchi MC 202 become immediately an effective “dogfighter” able to counterbalance the performances of Allied fighters. The “202” evolution was the Macchi MC 205 Veltro, featured with an heavier armament and a more modern and more powerful engine. A lot of Regia Aeronautica Aces, who had fought on the CR-42 biplanes and on the dated G-50 and Mc-200, found in Macchi’s fighter their warhorse. With over 20,000 units produced from 1941, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it was the Luftwaffe’s most famous bomber. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 two star radial engine, with 14 1,700 Hp cylinders, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 653 Km/h. It was heavily armed with 2 MG 131 machine guns and 4 MG 151 20 mm cannons. Production of the A-8 version began in the first months of 1944, characterised with an injection system able to increase engine power, for brief periods, to over 1,900 Hp. From 1944 until May 1945 in all the Focke-Wulf factories, more than 6,500 190 A-8 models were constructed, to face the ever more frequent allied air raids. Decals for 2 versions. Modello: 20,1 cm SUPER DECAL PER OGNI AEREO DELLA PATTUGLIA ACROBATICA Il Northrop F-5 nacque negli anni sessanta per soddisfare le necessità di molti Paesi appartenenti alla NATO che richiedevano un caccia multiruolo semplice, economico e di facile manutenzione. All’inizio degli anni settanta venne sviluppata la versione migliorata, denominata F-5E Tiger II, che si caratterizzava per l’adozione dei nuovi propulsori General Electric J85 in grado di fornire una spinta decisamente superiore. Rispetto ai primi F-5, il Tiger II ha una fusoliera più allungata, maggiore autonomia operativa ed un’avionica ottimizzata per adempiere al ruolo primario di caccia da difesa aerea. L’armamento di base è costituito da due cannoni da 20 mm., installati nel muso sotto la cabina, e dalla possibilità di utilizzare svariate combinazioni di missili aria-aria. L’F-5E ha avuto un grande successo commerciale. The Blue Angels, the United States Navy's flying aerobatic team, were created in 1946 immediately after the end of World War II. On November 1986, during the 40th anniversary year events, the Blue Angels made their transition from subsonic A-4 Skyhawk II to the new the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The Blue Angels had already flown on aircrafts characterized by big size, as the F-4 Phantom II, but the choice of flying on a supersonic plane was, at those time, in contrast with the rest of the aerobatic teams, mostly Europeans, who preferred more maneuverable trainers. However, thanks to the F / A-18 Hornet extraordinary flying qualities and, in particular, the high maneuverability , the choice done was an immediate success and the new aircraft has made possible to implement a high level aerobatic program.
