The AC-119K could be easily recognized thanks to its two additional General Electric J85 turbojet engines in under wing pods. This allowed the availability of a heavier armament, consisting of two M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannons in addition to the AC-119G's four “miniguns”, and the possibility to have more modern and updated navigation and electronic countermeasures systems on board. The Blue Angels, the United States Navy's flying aerobatic team, were created in 1946 immediately after the end of World War II. On November 1986, during the 40th anniversary year events, the Blue Angels made their transition from subsonic A-4 Skyhawk II to the new the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The Blue Angels had already flown on aircrafts characterized by big size, as the F-4 Phantom II, but the choice of flying on a supersonic plane was, at those time, in contrast with the rest of the aerobatic teams, mostly Europeans, who preferred more maneuverable trainers. However, thanks to the F / A-18 Hornet extraordinary flying qualities and, in particular, the high maneuverability , the choice done was an immediate success and the new aircraft has made possible to implement a high level aerobatic program. 15,00 €F/A-18 Hornet Swiss air forces 2014 has been for the 'Swiss Air Force's the 100th anniversary. To celebrate the event during the Payerne Air Show Air 14 from 30 August to 7 September of 2014 was realized a new commemorative livery for one F-18 . The event was a huge success with around 400,000 visitors from all over the world. There were 184 performances in 'period of four days.
