Untraceable but still in the modellers hearts, the model kit Junkers Ju 86D is presented in the same box and with the original sprues of the FIRST VERSION RELEASED IN 1973. The hologram includes the sequence number assigned to each box as a guarantee of limited edition. Produced at the of the thirties in the double-version, civil and military, this massive twin-engined Junkers bomber of advanced technological conception had its first flight with the Condor Legion during the Spanish War. Although the motors were subject to mechanical failures, in 1942 it was taken back into service in the front line as a transport plane, in the desperate attempt to supply Von Paulus 6th Army besieged at Stalingrad. Towards the end of the thirties this impressive twin-engine plane was developed by the German aviation industry. It was the basic idea to support and later substitute the heavy fighter Bf-110. The ME-210 frequently had problems when landing, causing a lot of serious accidents. The plane was also under-powered which led to many shortcomings. These defects limited the life span of this aircraft considerably. Despite of a series of modifications (which culminated in its successor, the ME-410) the plane terminated service as a reconnaissance plane, but well before the end of the war. Per saperne di più -

Developed by Dornier as replacement of the old “Wal”, the new Do-24 was characterized by a power plant of three 940 HP Bramo wing-mounted radial engines. The solution adopted, much more modern and reliable than the previous one, combined with a robust parasol-wing and twin tails, allowed to Dornier Do-24 to reach a top speed of 340 Km/h. Thanks to its range of 2,700 Km and thanks to its offensive load of 1,200 Kg, the Dornier Do-24 has been used for several operational tasks on all fronts. Entered in service in the first part of 80’s, it maintained the typical “delta wing” aerodynamic design but, compared to the previous generation French fighters, the Mirage 2000 has adopted significant technical improvements. Thanks to its SNECMA afterburning turbofan engine, it is able to reach the speed of Mach 2.2. It has a great maneuverability and it can carry a various set of offensive weapons. The Mirage 2000C is often considered the first new generation fighter, produced in Europe, to be entered in operational service.
