IAF UH-1N w/Paratroopers It is not often that Dragon releases a 1/35 scale helicopter, which makes the present time even more exciting! Why? Because Dragon has released a UH-1N helicopter in this scale! The Bell UH-1N Twin Huey first flew in 1969 and it could carry 14 passengers in addition to the pilot. The UH-1N has been widely used by the US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps, but another interesting user nation was Israel. The first Iroquois helicopters that Israel obtained were of the UH-1D type, but in the end it operated a mixed fleet of some 64 UH-1s of various types. Israel used its helicopters in various Middle East conflicts and against Palestinian militants for more than 30 years, before they were all retired in 2002 after being replaced by the UH-60 Black Hawk. This plastic kit of the UH-1N is beautifully detailed, and it looks mightily impressive in this large scale. Cartograf supplies a set of well-registered markings to finish off this Israeli Huey. To make the set even more attractive, Dragon is throwing in a figure set of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) paratroopers. The Paratroopers Brigade is a renowned fighting force in Israel, and the unit has taken part in many missions. The four plastic figures stem from a much earlier release but their quality is still up to today’s standards. Together, the figures and helicopter can create an inspiring scene of air-ground cooperation in the Middle East. This meant the nation needed more effective high-altitude interceptor aircraft to fight off the heavy bombers. One solution was the Focke-Wulf Ta152, a high-altitude interceptor fighter derived from the Fw190. There were three different versions planned, with the Ta152C designed for lower-altitude operations and ground attack. Thus it had a different engine and smaller wings than the Ta152H and Ta152E. Interestingly, the name was changed from Fw to Ta to reflect the important influence paid by designer Kurt Tank. The first Ta152H entered service in January 1945, and with only a little over 40 production aircraft, it had minimal impact on the result of WWII. Because of the rush to get the aircraft into production, insufficient time was allotted to its development, leading to teething problems. Dragon has produced a new 1/48 scale kit of the Ta152. This particular kit is of the Ta152C-0, which was a pre-production aircraft. Although only one prototype was built, this kit from Dragon means it is now available to all modelers. The kit includes brand new wings, plus a new engine and radiator cowling. These new parts, as well as highly detailed elements for the rest of the aircraft, are accurately detailed and dimensionally correct. The plastic parts are sharply molded, and there are options for showing such parts as the cowling flaps or cockpit open or closed. Two frets of photo-etched parts are also offered to upgrade detail. This is an exciting kit of a novel aircraft, and for modelers wanting a late-war interceptor, this Ta152C-0 from Dragon is the answer. Per saperne di più

The Helldiver was a carrier-based dive-bomber widely used by the US Navy (USN) during WWII. The twin-seat SB2C was roundly criticized for its handling characteristics, range and reliability, but nevertheless it achieved good results in combat after improvements were made during the course of production. It was in the thick of such battles as Rabaul, the Marianas, the Philippines, Taiwan, Iwo Jima, the Ryuku Islands and Okinawa. One of its strengths was the ability to carry a significant amount of munitions, plus it had an internal bomb bay. Some 7,140 Helldivers were manufactured in total. However, Cyber-Hobby is now pleased to be offering a slightly earlier variant of the Helldiver, an SB2C-3. To improve performance, this type had received a 1,900hp R-2600-20 engine and a four-bladed propeller. Some 1,112 SB2C-3 Helldivers were produced by Curtiss. Of course, this is just the second 1/72 scale kit in Cyber-Hobby's refined Wing-Tech series. The SB2C-3 employs high-tech innovations and widely uses slide molds to enable excellent levels of detail and easy construction. Panel lines are sharply etched into the plastic, and a bomb payload is on offer too. Furthermore, as a carrier-based aircraft, modelers can choose to show the wings folded or extended according to their preference, plus the landing gear can be displayed either lowered or raised. Brand new dive flaps were created in photo-etched metal to achieve the correct scale thickness. The cockpit is fully detailed as well. The Helldiver was the last dive-bomber operated by the USN and now, thanks to Cyber-Hobby, modelers can get a slice of Pacific war action! Per saperne di più

WWII Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4/B Barcode: 0 89195 83225 2 Case Pack: 20 pieces per master carton Box Size: 9.6" x 15" x 3.5" The Messerschmitt Bf109 formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe for the duration of WWII. In fact, the Bf109 holds the distinction of being the most widely produced fighter in history. Nearly 34,000 were produced up till April 1945! A range of wartime variants were developed, with the E (“Emil”) series being the first major redesign of this highly successful platform that wrought havoc on Allied and Russian opponents. Of the 561 E-4 aircraft built, 211 were of the E-4/B “Jabo” type. It was first used against shipping in the English Channel in July 1940, and it could carry a single 250kg bomb or four 50kg bombs. Based on previous Bf109s, this new Bf109E-4/B has resulted in precise detail and easy assembly for modelers of all skill levels. Every detail is accurately presented in plastic, and some parts such as the pilot’s seatbelt are even included as photo-etched metal items for superior realism. DS is also used for the landing-gear compartment to provide the necessary level of detail. The redesigned squared-off cockpit canopy is produced especially for this kit. A variety of marking options are available as high-quality Cartograf decals. Per saperne di più

This British aircraft was the RAF’s second ever jet fighter (the first being the Gloster Meteor). Although it arrived too late to see WWII combat, it served in frontline squadrons of the Royal Air Force (RAF) until 1953 and as a training platform until 1966. Some 3,268 Vampires were built and they were used by 31 air forces. The most numerically common single-seat variant was the FB.5, with the type built for the UK, South Africa and Venezuela. The FB.5 featured a Goblin II turbojet engine with armored protection. In addition, the wings were shortened by 30cm and the undercarriage was given a longer stroke to permit greater takeoff weights and more clearance for under-wing munitions. At its peak, the RAF flew 19 squadrons of FB.5s in Europe, the Middle East and Far East. It participated in the Malayan Emergency, for example. This 1/72 scale kit is the fruit of brand new toolings. Naturally, it’s extremely well engineered to support convenient and easy assembly. This engineering excellence is made manifest in numerous parts produced with the aid of slide molds and complete CAD design from start to finish. Panel lines are sharply and accurately delineated using laser crafting, while the streamlined form of the fuselage and twin-boom tail is realistically captured. Coming after Cyber-Hobby’s earlier releases of the Meteor, Sea Vixen and Sea Venom, this new kit adds to the historic British family! Indeed, modelers will now be able to display a complete lineup of these important post-WWII British fighters. Per saperne di più
