Modello: 20,1 cm SUPER DECAL PER OGNI AEREO DELLA PATTUGLIA ACROBATICA Il Northrop F-5 nacque negli anni sessanta per soddisfare le necessità di molti Paesi appartenenti alla NATO che richiedevano un caccia multiruolo semplice, economico e di facile manutenzione. All’inizio degli anni settanta venne sviluppata la versione migliorata, denominata F-5E Tiger II, che si caratterizzava per l’adozione dei nuovi propulsori General Electric J85 in grado di fornire una spinta decisamente superiore. Rispetto ai primi F-5, il Tiger II ha una fusoliera più allungata, maggiore autonomia operativa ed un’avionica ottimizzata per adempiere al ruolo primario di caccia da difesa aerea. L’armamento di base è costituito da due cannoni da 20 mm., installati nel muso sotto la cabina, e dalla possibilità di utilizzare svariate combinazioni di missili aria-aria. L’F-5E ha avuto un grande successo commerciale. E’ stato inoltre prodotto su licenza in Corea del Sud, Taiwan e Svizzera, dove nel 1995 fu scelto come velivolo dalla pattuglia acrobatica nazionale “Patrouille Suisse”. Per saperne di più -

BR.20 Cicogna. This aircraft first appeared in 1936 and was almost entirely built in metal. It became one of the most famous Italian medium bombers. The planes of the first series had their debut operationally in the Spanish Civil War with the 35th bomber Group “Le Cicogne” from which they took their name. In the same period the Japanese government order this aircraft for operation in ChinaIn 1939 the BR.20M appeared (M for "modificato" amended) on which there where several improvements and which had a different sharped nose. The BR.20's were placed with the various units of the Italian Royal Air Force and operated on almost all war fronts. In september 1940 the BR.20M's of the 13th and 43rd Bomber Wing took part in action, mainly at night, during the Battle of Britain operating from bases in Belgium, but were soon withdrawn as the situation in the Mediterranean worsened. Douglas P-70 A/S by Italeri. COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET The Douglas P-70 night fighter was derived from the famous and popular light bomber, middle-mounted wings, A-20 Havoc, produced in large numbers by the American company Douglas during World War II. The first units of the night fighter had been delivered in the second half of 1942 to meet the need for a long-range fighter in the Pacific theater. Powered by a pair of 1,600 hp Wright R-2600 Cyclone radial engines, the P-70 was able to reach and easily overcome 500 Km/h. The most relevant difference of P-70 was the glazed nose, painted black, with transmitting antenna of radar installation. The radar set – the most important tool to optimize the use of P-70s as a night fighters - was installed inside the nose and a more powerful armament, formed by four 20 mm cannons, was installed in a dedicated external package under the fuselage. Mirage 2000D is the two-seat ground attack version of the famous multi-role fighter of the French Dassault entered in service around the mid ‘90s. Designed and developed around the delta wing lay-out, typical of the Dassault production, Mirage 2000 is able to overcome, thanks to the M53 engine thrust with afterburner, the speed of mach 2. The elegant shape of the delta wing also provides exceptional maneuverability at high speeds. Furthermore the maneuverability is improved thanks to "fly by wire" command system and a very advanced on board electronic constantly evolved and updated.
