Overview Skill level: 5 Scale: 1:72 Length: 310 mm Wingspan: 206 mm Parts: 210 Description Still superior Easily one of the most maneuverable fighter aircraft to ever take to the skies, the Sukhoi Su-27 was the Soviet Union's answer to American fourth-generation fighter designs. It is one of the few aircraft in the world capable of performing "Pugachev's Cobra"-a demanding stunt in which the nose of the aircraft rears up and back to vertical before lunging forward like a striking snake. Coupled with speeds above Mach 2 and impressive armament, this maneuverability makes the Su-27 a master of the sky. Kit features detailed cockpit, pilot figure, weapons options, and decals. The Blue Angels, the United States Navy's flying aerobatic team, were created in 1946 immediately after the end of World War II. On November 1986, during the 40th anniversary year events, the Blue Angels made their transition from subsonic A-4 Skyhawk II to the new the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The Blue Angels had already flown on aircrafts characterized by big size, as the F-4 Phantom II, but the choice of flying on a supersonic plane was, at those time, in contrast with the rest of the aerobatic teams, mostly Europeans, who preferred more maneuverable trainers. However, thanks to the F / A-18 Hornet extraordinary flying qualities and, in particular, the high maneuverability , the choice done was an immediate success and the new aircraft has made possible to implement a high level aerobatic program. Even today, after more than 25 years, the Blue Angels aerobatic tram is still formed by 6 F/A-18 Hornet. Per saperne di più -

Unconfirmed WWII legend states that Japanese soldiers referred to the Bristol Beaufighter as "Whispering Death". Beaufighters were much quieter than most aircraft of the time and the Mk.IF night fighter variant incorporated a ranging radar set that could pick out targets on the blackest nights. Once targets were found, stealth went out the window. Four 20mm cannons and six .303 machine guns ensured that enemy targets were shredded in volcanic gouts of fire. This kit features structured surfaces, detailed twin radial engines, moveable propeller, detailed cockpit with pilot figure, navigation compartment with figure, tail-wheel selectively down or retracted, separate navigation lights, under-carriage selectively down or retracted, radar antennae, and removable engine cowling's. Includes a decal set for 2 RAF versions. Per saperne di più -

Douglas P-70 A/S by Italeri. COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET The Douglas P-70 night fighter was derived from the famous and popular light bomber, middle-mounted wings, A-20 Havoc, produced in large numbers by the American company Douglas during World War II. The first units of the night fighter had been delivered in the second half of 1942 to meet the need for a long-range fighter in the Pacific theater. Powered by a pair of 1,600 hp Wright R-2600 Cyclone radial engines, the P-70 was able to reach and easily overcome 500 Km/h. The most relevant difference of P-70 was the glazed nose, painted black, with transmitting antenna of radar installation. The radar set – the most important tool to optimize the use of P-70s as a night fighters - was installed inside the nose and a more powerful armament, formed by four 20 mm cannons, was installed in a dedicated external package under the fuselage.
