  1. Royal Navy Westland Seaking AEW.2
    36,00 €

Features: 5-blade tail rotor realistically produced New Sea King AEW.2 rendered w/stunning detail Windshield wipers molded on cockpit Cockpit glazing made from crystal-clear parts Detailed landing gear and buoyancy sponsons Radome for Searchwater radar attached to the fuselage on a swivel arm Details and fittings molded on belly of Sea King AEW.2 fuselage Authentic rotor w/intricate detail Realistic pilot's seats included Slightly curved rotor blades reproduced Realistic steps included One-piece fuselage reproduced w/intricate details Strengthened landing gear realistically portrayed This year marks the anniversary of the Falklands War that occurred 30 years ago in 1982, and Cyber Hobby is commemorating the historic event with a second 1/72 scale kit of the Sea King helicopter. Modelers enthusiastically received the brand new Westland WS-61 Sea King HC.4 troop-carrying variant, and that Cyber-Hobby item proved an instant hit. This second kit depicts the rare airborne early warning AEW.2 helicopter. Combat in the Falklands War revealed an AEW gap in the capability of the Royal Navy (RN), and even while the conflict was under way, Westland began converting two Sea King HAS.2 helicopters in May 1982. After the crash development program, these two helicopters joined the replacement task force when it set sail in August although they were too late to participate in the actual fighting. The AEW.2s featured a Thorn-EMI ARI 5930/3 Searchwater radar mounted in an inflatable radome fitted to a swivel arm. This new helicopter in 1/72 scale makes use of elements of the Cyber-Hobby HC.4, but it features a number of newly tooled parts in order to portray the AEW.2 version. One obvious example is the radar radome. The plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and the foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. With appropriate decal markings from Cartograf, this Sea King AEW.2 is ready to search for the approach of the enemy! Per saperne di più

This meant the nation needed more effective high-altitude interceptor aircraft to fight off the heavy bombers. One solution was the Focke-Wulf Ta152, a high-altitude interceptor fighter derived from the Fw190. There were three different versions planned, with the Ta152C designed for lower-altitude operations and ground attack. Thus it had a different engine and smaller wings than the Ta152H and Ta152E. Interestingly, the name was changed from Fw to Ta to reflect the important influence paid by designer Kurt Tank. The first Ta152H entered service in January 1945, and with only a little over 40 production aircraft, it had minimal impact on the result of WWII. Because of the rush to get the aircraft into production, insufficient time was allotted to its development, leading to teething problems. Dragon has produced a new 1/48 scale kit of the Ta152. This particular kit is of the Ta152C-0, which was a pre-production aircraft. Although only one prototype was built, this kit from Dragon means it is now available to all modelers. The kit includes brand new wings, plus a new engine and radiator cowling. These new parts, as well as highly detailed elements for the rest of the aircraft, are accurately detailed and dimensionally correct. The plastic parts are sharply molded, and there are options for showing such parts as the cowling flaps or cockpit open or closed. Two frets of photo-etched parts are also offered to upgrade detail. This is an exciting kit of a novel aircraft, and for modelers wanting a late-war interceptor, this Ta152C-0 from Dragon is the answer. Per saperne di più

The Helldiver was a carrier-based dive-bomber widely used by the US Navy (USN) during WWII. The twin-seat SB2C was roundly criticized for its handling characteristics, range and reliability, but nevertheless it achieved good results in combat after improvements were made during the course of production. It was in the thick of such battles as Rabaul, the Marianas, the Philippines, Taiwan, Iwo Jima, the Ryuku Islands and Okinawa. One of its strengths was the ability to carry a significant amount of munitions, plus it had an internal bomb bay. Some 7,140 Helldivers were manufactured in total. However, Cyber-Hobby is now pleased to be offering a slightly earlier variant of the Helldiver, an SB2C-3. To improve performance, this type had received a 1,900hp R-2600-20 engine and a four-bladed propeller. Some 1,112 SB2C-3 Helldivers were produced by Curtiss. Of course, this is just the second 1/72 scale kit in Cyber-Hobby's refined Wing-Tech series. The SB2C-3 employs high-tech innovations and widely uses slide molds to enable excellent levels of detail and easy construction. Panel lines are sharply etched into the plastic, and a bomb payload is on offer too. Furthermore, as a carrier-based aircraft, modelers can choose to show the wings folded or extended according to their preference, plus the landing gear can be displayed either lowered or raised. Brand new dive flaps were created in photo-etched metal to achieve the correct scale thickness. The cockpit is fully detailed as well. The Helldiver was the last dive-bomber operated by the USN and now, thanks to Cyber-Hobby, modelers can get a slice of Pacific war action! Per saperne di più
