The Battle of Midway (4-7 June 1942) was the defining naval engagement of the Pacific Campaign during WWII. It occurred just six months after Japan’s surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and resulted in a decisive victory for the US Navy (USN). The battle resulted in the loss of four Japanese aircraft carriers, a heavy cruiser, 248 carrier-borne aircraft and 3,057 sailors, a costly blow the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and its shipbuilding industry couldn’t recover from. One historian even called it “the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare.” The IJN attacked Midway Atoll and sought to sweep the USN into oblivion via an ambush. However, the US had been able to break Japanese codes and so the USA sprung its own trap on the Japanese! Cyber-Hobby is proud to announce the release of a 1/72 scale kit of a Japanese Aichi D3A dive-bomber that took part in this fierce battle. Cyber-Hobby has done a sterling job on this 1/72 dive-bomber kit. This time it comes with brand new Cartograf decals that offer a splendid selection of markings suitable for aircraft participating in the Battle of Midway. It uses the same toolings that were created using highly advanced CAD techniques, and the result is an amazingly detailed aircraft. The engine and cockpit are both fully represented. Due to its primary role as a dive-bomber, the model sensibly comes with a payload of a 250kg bomb. And as a carrier-borne aircraft, its 14.37m-wide wings could be folded up to save space. This feature too is carried over into the model; builders can select whether they want the plane to have folded or extended wings. There are no halfway measures when it comes to the detail exhibited on this Midway Aicha Type 99 model! Per saperne di più
  2. SH-3G Sea King, USN Utility Transporter

Features: SH-3G Sea King USN Transporter rendered with stunning detail Newly reproduced sonobuoy cover Fitted door for sonobouy on belly of Sea King fuselage Wind wipers molded on cockpit Cockpit glazing made from crystal-clear parts 5-blades tail rotor realistically produced Detailed landing gear and buoyancy sponsons Authentic rotor w/intricate detail Slightly curved rotor blades reproduced One-piece fuselage reproduced w/intricate details Strengthened landing gear realistically portrayed Realistic steps included Realistic pilots' seats included The subject of Dragon's latest 1/72 scale plastic kit is a delightful model of the American-designed Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King helicopter. Originally, the twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily in the role of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy (USN). It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world and it entered USN service in 1961. Various modifications occurred in its lifespan, with a total of 105 SH-3A and SH-3D craft being converted into the versatile SH-3G. The latter was a cargo, utility and transport helicopter used by the USN. In the 1990s the SH-3 Sea King was replaced by the SH-60 Seahawk in the USN. This 1/72 scale Dragon plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and it's furnished with a full level of detail both inside and outside. It has a new part to plug the gap where the sonar was originally located. The foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings for several USN squadrons available, this SH-3G is ready to lift off in service of the navy! This 1/48 scale Me262B-1a comes complete with engine details, meaning it is possible for modelers to produce an airfield diorama with the jet engine on display as though it was undergoing maintenance. This was a common enough phenomenon, as these early jet engines attained an average life expectancy of just 12 hours! This plastic Me262B-1a, a twin-seat fighter, also boasts numerous detail enhancements that often involve the use of photo-etched parts. To make this kit even more convenient and user-friendly for modelers, some of these photo-etched parts have been pre-painted. This kit is also distinguished in having its own set of unique decals from Cartograf to portray a fighter in a unit of the modeler’s choice. This highly accurate kit offers modelers even more detail, the perfect accessory for jet setters! Per saperne di più

To respond to modelers’ requests for more, Cyber-Hobby is following up with another inspirational kit of this famous British fighter. The Meteor earned its place in history by being the first British and Allied operational jet fighter. It entered the ranks of the RAF in July 1944, and it served for a further ten years as Britain’s primary frontline fighter aircraft. The Meteor F.1, the subject of this kit, was the original production variant, and it began equipping No.616 Squadron of the RAF in June 1944. The squadron’s first mission was shooting down German V-1 flying bombs over England, with the aircraft forbidden from flying over German territory in case the jet engine technology fell into enemy hands. This initial production version of the Meteor was powered to a top speed of 670km/h by Whittle W.2 jet engines. The new Cyber-Hobby plastic kit of this initial Meteor F.1 variant comes in 1/72 scale. The aircraft is accurately shaped thanks to the use of the latest high-tech slide molds. The fuselage is well detailed with panel lines, and particularly eye-catching are the new parts that create the detailed Whittle jet engines. The exquisite twin engines are also installed upon brand new wings. Of course, this kit features a brand new cockpit canopy with the accurate shape. With this new transparent part, modelers will be able to view all the intricate detail inside the cockpit. This is a superb Cyber-Hobby kit, and it is the perfect follow-on to the Meteor released earlier. Per saperne di più
