With over 20,000 units produced from 1941, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it was the Luftwaffe’s most famous bomber. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 two star radial engine, with 14 1,700 Hp cylinders, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 653 Km/h. It was heavily armed with 2 MG 131 machine guns and 4 MG 151 20 mm cannons. Production of the A-8 version began in the first months of 1944, characterised with an injection system able to increase engine power, for brief periods, to over 1,900 Hp. From 1944 until May 1945 in all the Focke-Wulf factories, more than 6,500 190 A-8 models were constructed, to face the ever more frequent allied air raids. Decals for 2 versions. Douglas P-70 A/S by Italeri. COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET The Douglas P-70 night fighter was derived from the famous and popular light bomber, middle-mounted wings, A-20 Havoc, produced in large numbers by the American company Douglas during World War II. The first units of the night fighter had been delivered in the second half of 1942 to meet the need for a long-range fighter in the Pacific theater. Powered by a pair of 1,600 hp Wright R-2600 Cyclone radial engines, the P-70 was able to reach and easily overcome 500 Km/h. The most relevant difference of P-70 was the glazed nose, painted black, with transmitting antenna of radar installation. The radar set – the most important tool to optimize the use of P-70s as a night fighters - was installed inside the nose and a more powerful armament, formed by four 20 mm cannons, was installed in a dedicated external package under the fuselage. Thanks to its large, swing-rotors, the Osprey is able to take off and land just like a helicopter. Once off the ground, thanks to the rotation of its engines, it flies like a normal plane, reaching the speed and range hitherto unheard of for a traditional “chopper”. Mirage 2000D is the two-seat ground attack version of the famous multi-role fighter of the French Dassault entered in service around the mid ‘90s. Designed and developed around the delta wing lay-out, typical of the Dassault production, Mirage 2000 is able to overcome, thanks to the M53 engine thrust with afterburner, the speed of mach 2. The elegant shape of the delta wing also provides exceptional maneuverability at high speeds. Furthermore the maneuverability is improved thanks to "fly by wire" command system and a very advanced on board electronic constantly evolved and updated. The Black Hawk is the U.S. Army’s front-line utility helicopter used for air assault, air cavalry and aeromedicals evacuation units. It is designed to carry 11 combat-loaded air assault troops and it is capable of moving a 105 mm. Howitzer and 30 rounds of ammunition. First deployed in 1978, the Black Hawk’s advanced technology makes it easy to maintain in the field. The Black Hawk has performed admirably in a variety of missions, including air assault, air cavalry and aeromedicals evacuations, including Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq.
