The Sea Vixen was a twin-boom jet fighter used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy in the 1960-70s, and this carrier-based aircraft could travel at speeds of up to 1,110km/h. Following on from Cyber-Hobby’s kit of a twin-seat Sea Vixen FAW.1 (FAW denotes ‘Fighter All Weather’), this latest kit represents an FAW.2 variant. As successor to the FAW.1, it possessed many improvements such as an enlarged tail boom allowing additional fuel tanks, an improved escape system and more space for electronic countermeasures systems. The FAW.2 entered frontline squadrons in 1964 and some 29 new-build aircraft were produced as well as 67 FAW.1s converted. The Sea Vixen was withdrawn from service in 1972. Just like Cyber-Hobby’s recent FAW.1 kit, this 1/72 scale model makes extensive use of slide molds to create a harmonious blend of detail and ease of assembly. The fuselage is a complex shape because of the twin tail booms, but very judicious engineering and clever parts separation mean all the components fit together perfectly. The newly tooled fuel tanks accommodated on both wings are delicately reproduced. The cockpit for the pilot, which is offset towards the port side, is featured correctly, and the upper fuselage has been updated to include the correct top hatch for the observer. Panel lines are sharply and precisely rendered thanks to the application of laser technology. Modelers can now complete their Sea Vixen families! Per saperne di più

Initially, this twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy. It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world. Many other nations adopted the Sea King design, including Japan, where it was license-produced by Mitsubishi. Indeed, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) widely used the Sea King as an ASW platform. Some 18 S-61A Sea Kings were used in search-and-rescue (SAR) roles too. Sometimes these were deployed to Antarctica aboard naval icebreakers such as Shirase. Japan maintains the Asuka, Mizuho, Showa and Dome Fuji Stations in Antarctica, and the JMSDF is responsible for Japan's Antarctica Observation activities. Cyber-Hobby is expanding the popular Sea King family by providing a kit of an S-61A in Antarctica Observation service with the JMSDF. The kit is well designed and cleverly engineered, and it incorporates all the updates necessary for this Japanese version. For example, four brand new mirrors are installed on the front of the cabin to aid the pilot's view. The two halves of the fuselage have also been updated to include appropriate new side windows. Another special Japanese addition is a searchlight mounted on the side of the body. The cabin doors can be displayed open if wished, allowing a tantalizing view of the helicopter's interior. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings and a suitable paint scheme, this S-61A variant of the Sea King is ready for action in the frigid climes of Antarctica! Per saperne di più

IAF UH-1N w/Paratroopers It is not often that Dragon releases a 1/35 scale helicopter, which makes the present time even more exciting! Why? Because Dragon has released a UH-1N helicopter in this scale! The Bell UH-1N Twin Huey first flew in 1969 and it could carry 14 passengers in addition to the pilot. The UH-1N has been widely used by the US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps, but another interesting user nation was Israel. The first Iroquois helicopters that Israel obtained were of the UH-1D type, but in the end it operated a mixed fleet of some 64 UH-1s of various types. Israel used its helicopters in various Middle East conflicts and against Palestinian militants for more than 30 years, before they were all retired in 2002 after being replaced by the UH-60 Black Hawk. This plastic kit of the UH-1N is beautifully detailed, and it looks mightily impressive in this large scale. Cartograf supplies a set of well-registered markings to finish off this Israeli Huey. To make the set even more attractive, Dragon is throwing in a figure set of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) paratroopers. The Paratroopers Brigade is a renowned fighting force in Israel, and the unit has taken part in many missions. The four plastic figures stem from a much earlier release but their quality is still up to today’s standards. Together, the figures and helicopter can create an inspiring scene of air-ground cooperation in the Middle East. 9. WW.II US Navy F6F-3 Hellcat
    29,00 €

Although it looked somewhat like its predecessor the F4F Wildcat, the single-seat F6F Hellcat was a completely new design from Grumman. It was a carrier-based fighter that served in the US Navy and US Marine Corps (USMC). The Hellcat is credited with destroying a staggering 5,271 enemy aircraft. Cyber-Hobby is releasing a 1/72 scale plastic kit of the first production version of the Hellcat, the F6F-3. In all, some 4,402 F6F-3 carrier-borne fighters were produced up till April 1944 before it was replaced by the F6F-5. The fighter’s standard armament was six .50-cal M2/AN Browning machine guns, while later aircraft possessed three hardpoints capable of carrying 900kg of bombs. Six High-Velocity Aircraft Rockets (HVAR) could also be mounted under its wings. This is a 1/72 scale kit from Cyber-Hobby. It's based on the F6F-5N (Item No.5080) that was released earlier, but it has a modified fuselage in keeping with the design of the F6F-3. Details such as the Double Wasp radial engine are absolutely stunning. The cockpit features a full interior, with even minute details rendered. The transparent canopy can be displayed open or closed, thus allowing the modeler to show off all the intrinsic detail. The wings can be shown extended or folded, as can the undercarriage. Cartograf decals offer various US and British unit marking options for this famous Hellcat fighter. The kit also comes with a selection or armaments (e.g 5-inch HVAR, 500lb bomb) to produce an authentic-looking model. This might be a Hellcat, but it will cause aircraft modelers to purr with delight! Per saperne di più

WWII Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4/B Barcode: 0 89195 83225 2 Case Pack: 20 pieces per master carton Box Size: 9.6" x 15" x 3.5" The Messerschmitt Bf109 formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe for the duration of WWII. In fact, the Bf109 holds the distinction of being the most widely produced fighter in history. Nearly 34,000 were produced up till April 1945! A range of wartime variants were developed, with the E (“Emil”) series being the first major redesign of this highly successful platform that wrought havoc on Allied and Russian opponents. Of the 561 E-4 aircraft built, 211 were of the E-4/B “Jabo” type. It was first used against shipping in the English Channel in July 1940, and it could carry a single 250kg bomb or four 50kg bombs. Based on previous Bf109s, this new Bf109E-4/B has resulted in precise detail and easy assembly for modelers of all skill levels. Every detail is accurately presented in plastic, and some parts such as the pilot’s seatbelt are even included as photo-etched metal items for superior realism. DS is also used for the landing-gear compartment to provide the necessary level of detail. The redesigned squared-off cockpit canopy is produced especially for this kit. A variety of marking options are available as high-quality Cartograf decals. Per saperne di più
