This British aircraft was the RAF’s second ever jet fighter (the first being the Gloster Meteor). Although it arrived too late to see WWII combat, it served in frontline squadrons of the Royal Air Force (RAF) until 1953 and as a training platform until 1966. Some 3,268 Vampires were built and they were used by 31 air forces. The most numerically common single-seat variant was the FB.5, with the type built for the UK, South Africa and Venezuela. The FB.5 featured a Goblin II turbojet engine with armored protection. In addition, the wings were shortened by 30cm and the undercarriage was given a longer stroke to permit greater takeoff weights and more clearance for under-wing munitions. At its peak, the RAF flew 19 squadrons of FB.5s in Europe, the Middle East and Far East. It participated in the Malayan Emergency, for example. This 1/72 scale kit is the fruit of brand new toolings. Naturally, it’s extremely well engineered to support convenient and easy assembly. This engineering excellence is made manifest in numerous parts produced with the aid of slide molds and complete CAD design from start to finish. Panel lines are sharply and accurately delineated using laser crafting, while the streamlined form of the fuselage and twin-boom tail is realistically captured. Coming after Cyber-Hobby’s earlier releases of the Meteor, Sea Vixen and Sea Venom, this new kit adds to the historic British family! Indeed, modelers will now be able to display a complete lineup of these important post-WWII British fighters. Per saperne di più

This British aircraft, based on the de Havilland Venom NF.2 night-fighter, was a jet fighter capable of operating from aircraft carriers. To suit this role, it required modifications such as folding wings, a strengthened undercarriage, modified canopy to permit underwater ejection, and a tailhook. The Sea Venom operated as an interceptor with the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm. The first version was designated FAW.20 (Fighter, All-Weather), but Cyber Hobby’s kit represents the subsequent production version known as FAW.21, which first flew in April 1954. It featured a Ghost 104 engine that produced 22.1kN of thrust, radar system derived from the American APS-57, plus a reshaped canopy that provided a clearer view. Production of the FAW.21 ceased in 1957. Sea Venoms participated in such conflicts as the Suez War of 1956 and Cyprus Emergency of 1958. This 1/72 scale kit is the fruit of brand new toolings. Naturally, it’s extremely well engineered to support convenient and easy assembly. This engineering excellence is made manifest in numerous parts produced with the aid of slide molds. Panel lines are sharply and accurately delineated using laser crafting, while the streamlined form of the fuselage and twin-boom tail is realistically captured in its entirety. Coming after the launch of the Sea Vixen, this new kit of the carrier-borne Sea Venom adds muscle to Cyber Hobby’s aircraft kit collection! Per saperne di più

Features: - Newly designed SB2C-4 Helldiver authentically presented - Folding-wing mechanism rendered w/fine detail - Wings can be assembled extended/folded - Delicate propeller reproduced - Realistic engine exhibits delicate detail - Intricate arrester hook molded on SB2C-4 - Detailed cockpit canopy made from crystal-clear parts - Cockpit interior details including pilot's seat and control panel - Seats can be folded up/down - Delicate details molded on wings - Landing gear realistically produced - Authentic-looking MGs - Detailed struts installed inside landing-gear compartment - Cockpit interior forms separate drop-in assembly - Two 5,000lb bombs included Cyber-Hobby has added an exciting 1/72 scale model kit to its Golden Wings series. The new item depicts a Curtiss SB2C Helldiver, a carrier-based dive-bomber widely used by the US Navy (USN) during WWII. The twin-seat SB2C was roundly criticized for its handling characteristics, range and reliability, but nevertheless it achieved good results in combat after improvements were made during the course of production. It participated in such battles as Rabaul, the Marianas, the Philippines, Taiwan, Iwo Jima, the Ryuku Islands and Okinawa. One of its strengths was the ability to carry a significant amount of munitions, plus it featured an internal bomb bay. Some 7,140 Helldivers were manufactured, but the variant portrayed in this kit is the SB2C-4, numerically the most common type. Introduced in mid-1944, the SB2C-4 incorporated perforated dive flaps and wing racks for eight 5-inch rockets or 1,000lb bombs. More than 2,000 SB2C-4 Helldivers were produced by Curtiss, and it was more successful than earlier variants. This is in fact the very first 1/72 scale item in Cyber-Hobby’s refined Wing-Tech series, and it broadens the scope of successful 1/32 and 1/48 items already available. As such, the SB2C-4 employs high-tech innovations and widely uses slide molds. This enables excellent levels of detail and easy construction. Panel lines are sharply etched into the plastic components. Furthermore, as a carrier-based aircraft, modelers can choose to show the wings folded or extended according to their preference, plus the landing gear can be displayed either lowered or raised. The cockpit is full of detail as well, all of which can be shown to fullest extent if the canopy is left open. The Helldiver was the last dive-bomber operated by the USN, but it was also the most widely produced in history. Now, thanks to Cyber-Hobby, modelers can get a slice of Pacific war action! Features: Newly tooled Sea Vixen FAW.2 rendered w/authentic detail Newly tooled air observer seat available Newly tooled fuel tanks Red Top missile newly added on Sea Vixen Newly designed upper fuselage w/correct detail Folding-wing mechanism rendered w/fine detail Air intakes accurately represented Wings can be assembled extended/folded Detailed cockpit interior Launchers for 2-inch rocket projectiles included Standard 150-gallon drop tanks included Intricate fuselage for Sea Vixen FAW.2 Twin-boom tail made by slide-mold technology Realistic jet exhausts reproduced Airbrake can be shown open/shut Fuselage possesses metal-skinned appearance Rudders can be modeled in different positions Landing flaps can be displayed in fully extended position Landing-gear bay w/intricate detail Cyber-Hobby has spawned another 1/72 scale member of the Hawker Siddeley Sea Vixen family. The Sea Vixen was a twin-boom jet fighter used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy in the 1960-70s, and this carrier-based aircraft could travel at speeds of up to 1,110km/h. Following on from Cyber-Hobby’s kit of a twin-seat Sea Vixen FAW.1 (FAW denotes ‘Fighter All Weather’), this latest kit represents an FAW.2 variant. As successor to the FAW.1, it possessed many improvements such as an enlarged tail boom allowing additional fuel tanks, an improved escape system and more space for electronic countermeasures systems. The FAW.2 entered frontline squadrons in 1964 and some 29 new-build aircraft were produced as well as 67 FAW.1s converted. The Sea Vixen was withdrawn from service in 1972. Just like Cyber-Hobby’s recent FAW.1 kit, this 1/72 scale model makes extensive use of slide molds to create a harmonious blend of detail and ease of assembly. The fuselage is a complex shape because of the twin tail booms, but very judicious engineering and clever parts separation mean all the components fit together perfectly. The newly tooled fuel tanks accommodated on both wings are delicately reproduced. The cockpit for the pilot, which is offset towards the port side, is featured correctly, and the upper fuselage has been updated to include the correct top hatch for the observer. Panel lines are sharply and precisely rendered thanks to the application of laser technology. Modelers can now complete their Sea Vixen families! Per saperne di più

The Battle of Midway (4-7 June 1942) was the defining naval engagement of the Pacific Campaign during WWII. It occurred just six months after Japan’s surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and resulted in a decisive victory for the US Navy (USN). The battle resulted in the loss of four Japanese aircraft carriers, a heavy cruiser, 248 carrier-borne aircraft and 3,057 sailors, a costly blow the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and its shipbuilding industry couldn’t recover from. One historian even called it “the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare.” The IJN attacked Midway Atoll and sought to sweep the USN into oblivion via an ambush. However, the US had been able to break Japanese codes and so the USA sprung its own trap on the Japanese! Cyber-Hobby is proud to announce the release of a 1/72 scale kit of a Japanese Aichi D3A dive-bomber that took part in this fierce battle. Cyber-Hobby has done a sterling job on this 1/72 dive-bomber kit. This time it comes with brand new Cartograf decals that offer a splendid selection of markings suitable for aircraft participating in the Battle of Midway. It uses the same toolings that were created using highly advanced CAD techniques, and the result is an amazingly detailed aircraft. The engine and cockpit are both fully represented. Due to its primary role as a dive-bomber, the model sensibly comes with a payload of a 250kg bomb. And as a carrier-borne aircraft, its 14.37m-wide wings could be folded up to save space. This feature too is carried over into the model; builders can select whether they want the plane to have folded or extended wings. There are no halfway measures when it comes to the detail exhibited on this Midway Aicha Type 99 model! Per saperne di più

This twin-engine SH-3 Sea King was used primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) by the US Navy (USN). It was also the first amphibious helicopter in the world and it entered USN service in 1961. Various modifications occurred in its lifespan, with the SH-3D superseding the SH-3A beginning in 1966. Key modifications were 1,419shp T58-GE-10 turbines, increased fuel capacity and new electronics. A total of 73 new-build helicopters were produced. In the 1990s the SH-3 Sea King was replaced by the SH-60 Seahawk in the USN. This 1/72 scale Cyber-Hobby plastic model is well designed and cleverly engineered to induce maximum modeling enjoyment. The fuselage is correctly proportioned and is furnished with a full level of detail both inside and outside. The foldable rotor blades are made to true scale thickness too. This kit features a brand new lower hull that incorporates the sonar installation. In fact, the kit allows modelers to depict the sonar dangling underneath the SH-3D Sea King just as if it had been lowered into the sea to seek enemy submarines. Another new item is the five-bladed tail rotor. With appropriate Cartograf decal markings for several USN squadrons available, this SH-3D is ready to chase subs! Per saperne di più

To respond to modelers’ requests for more, Cyber-Hobby is following up with another inspirational kit of this famous British fighter. The Meteor earned its place in history by being the first British and Allied operational jet fighter. It entered the ranks of the RAF in July 1944, and it served for a further ten years as Britain’s primary frontline fighter aircraft. The Meteor F.1, the subject of this kit, was the original production variant, and it began equipping No.616 Squadron of the RAF in June 1944. The squadron’s first mission was shooting down German V-1 flying bombs over England, with the aircraft forbidden from flying over German territory in case the jet engine technology fell into enemy hands. This initial production version of the Meteor was powered to a top speed of 670km/h by Whittle W.2 jet engines. The new Cyber-Hobby plastic kit of this initial Meteor F.1 variant comes in 1/72 scale. The aircraft is accurately shaped thanks to the use of the latest high-tech slide molds. The fuselage is well detailed with panel lines, and particularly eye-catching are the new parts that create the detailed Whittle jet engines. The exquisite twin engines are also installed upon brand new wings. Of course, this kit features a brand new cockpit canopy with the accurate shape. With this new transparent part, modelers will be able to view all the intricate detail inside the cockpit. This is a superb Cyber-Hobby kit, and it is the perfect follow-on to the Meteor released earlier. Per saperne di più
