The Alligator is the twin seat version of the combat helicopter Kamov 50 Hokum which has been under development for the Soviet Armed Forces for about a decade. The KA-52 is characterized through a new cockpit with two side-by-side seats. The front section of the fuselage was also completely re-designed to accomodate the vast assortment of electronic and radar equipment as well as night vision equipment to enable the use of a substantial assortment of weapon systems. AB 204B / UH-1 F AB - 204 B / UH - 1 F This version of the famous helicopter UH-1 Huey was produced in Italy under license for the Italian armed forces. Later other European countries were supplied as well with AB-204 Bs. (Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden). The AB-204 was built with a more powerful engine than the previous B/C version. It was equipped with part of the fuselage of the bigger UH-1 D Slick type. Despite its capability of carrying a vast assortment of armament, this chopper became mainly a supply and support aircraft. The Black Hawk is the U.S. Army’s front-line utility helicopter used for air assault, air cavalry and aeromedicals evacuation units. It is designed to carry 11 combat-loaded air assault troops and it is capable of moving a 105 mm. Howitzer and 30 rounds of ammunition. First deployed in 1978, the Black Hawk’s advanced technology makes it easy to maintain in the field. The Black Hawk has performed admirably in a variety of missions, including air assault, air cavalry and aeromedicals evacuations, including Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. The MH-53 is a special version of the CH-53 Sea Stallion which is used for support missions of the “Special Forces”. This big helicopter is equipped with a number of sophisticated all-weather and night navigation systems, which enable the chopper to elusively operate behind enemy lines to recover shot-down pilots or accompany commando units into enemy territory.
