Towards the end of the thirties this impressive twin-engine plane was developed by the German aviation industry. It was the basic idea to support and later substitute the heavy fighter Bf-110. The ME-210 frequently had problems when landing, causing a lot of serious accidents. The plane was also under-powered which led to many shortcomings. These defects limited the life span of this aircraft considerably. Despite of a series of modifications (which culminated in its successor, the ME-410) the plane terminated service as a reconnaissance plane, but well before the end of the war. Per saperne di più -

Produced at the of the thirties in the double-version, civil and military, this massive twin-engined Junkers bomber of advanced technological conception had its first flight with the Condor Legion during the Spanish War. Although the motors were subject to mechanical failures, in 1942 it was taken back into service in the front line as a transport plane, in the desperate attempt to supply Von Paulus 6th Army besieged at Stalingrad. The S.M.82 “Marsupiale” was the most famous transport aircraft of the Italian Regia Aeronautica during the Second World War. Directly derived by its predecessor, the S.M.75, it adopts the main features of the most traditional Savoia Marchetti production as the three radial engines configuration and the lay-out structure made by welded-steel tubes, wood, and fabric. The S.M.82 main strength was its wide fuselage capable of loading a significant amount of goods, materials and troops. The “Marsupiale” has been used to perform, successfully, tactical transport duties on all Italian military theaters of World War II, from Africa to Russia. It was also used for paratroops dropping. Even the German Luftwaffe recognized and appreciated the good features of the Italian aircraft. After the Armistice of 8 September 1943, the S.M. 82 were used by either the Italian Cobelligerent Air Force or the Repubblica Sociale Air Force. To point out the reliability of the project, after the war, some S.M. 82s continued in service with the Italian Aeronautica Militare until the early ‘60s. Per saperne di più -

FULLY UPGRADED MOULDS - SUPER DECALS SHEET - COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET The Dornier Do 24 was a broad-beamed hull flying boat designed to perform reconaissance, bomber, maritime patrol , search and rescue duties. Developed by Dornier as replacement of the old “Wal”, the new Do-24 was characterized by a power plant of three 940 HP Bramo wing-mounted radial engines. The solution adopted, much more modern and reliable than the previous one, combined with a robust parasol-wing and twin tails, allowed to Dornier Do-24 to reach a top speed of 340 Km/h. Thanks to its range of 2,700 Km and thanks to its offensive load of 1,200 Kg, the Dornier Do-24 has been used for several operational tasks on all fronts.
