SUPER DECALS SHEET The multi-role combat aircraft Tornado was jointly developed and built by a multinational collaboration of Italian, German and British companies. After forty years from the set up of the development, the Tornado is, still today, an aircraft with a significant operational capability. The Tornado is a twin-engine, variable sweep wing able to perform well as a low-level supersonic strike aircraft and able to “follow” the ground profile. The most successful commercial version was the ground attack variant IDS (Interdictor and strike). With over 20,000 units produced from 1941, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it was the Luftwaffe’s most famous bomber. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 two star radial engine, with 14 1,700 Hp cylinders, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 653 Km/h. It was heavily armed with 2 MG 131 machine guns and 4 MG 151 20 mm cannons. Production of the A-8 version began in the first months of 1944, characterised with an injection system able to increase engine power, for brief periods, to over 1,900 Hp. From 1944 until May 1945 in all the Focke-Wulf factories, more than 6,500 190 A-8 models were constructed, to face the ever more frequent allied air raids. Decals for 2 versions. 15,00 €The North American B-25 Mitchell was probably one of the best medium bombers of World War II. The first flight of the twin-engine North American plane was done in 1939. Powered by two 1750 HP Wright R-2600 Cyclone engines, the B-25 was characterized by an extraordinary operational flexibility. It took its nickname in honor of General Billy Mitchell considered, in effect, the father and the founder of United States Air Force. From the first versions, used for the main task of medium bomber in level flight, were progressively develop and implement further variations. In particular, following the specific need for a ground attack and close support aircraft, was made the B-25G. It was equipped with a closed nose, instead of the transparent one, with two .50 machine-guns and an heavy 75mm cannon inside which made it a real "piece of flying artillery”. Per saperne di più -
