Features: - Highly detailed - True to 1/400 - Highly collectible - High quality diecast construction The Titan family of expendable rockets was extremely successful, with 368 rockets launched between 1959 and 2005. The 48m-long Titan IIIE, sometimes referred to as the Titan III-Centaur, was used seven times. The name Centaur stemmed from the fact that a Centaur-D upper stage was added to boost the system’s performance. This three-stage rocket was instrumental in launching NASA’s two Voyager probes to Jupiter and Saturn, as well as the two Viking missions. The latter put instrumented landers on the surface of Mars. The Titan IIIE was used from 1974-77, with all missions blasting off from Cape Canaveral. Dragon's 1/400 scale model shows an impressive Titan IIIE rocket positioned on its launch pad awaiting blastoff. The pre-painted model is highly accurate and is fully detailed, including the correct markings. It comes with its special high-specific-impulse Centaur upper stage, a totally new part, which gives it a completely different appearance to the Titan IIIC released previously. The model also features two huge strap-on solid rocket boosters. For folk who wish to become more familiar with the Titan family of rockets, this is a must-have item! Per saperne di più

The first page of Leonardo's Codex Atlanticus shows a mysterious drawing. Analyzing its details, we discover that it is a circular mechanism with sixteen radial guns. The central mechanism looks like a boat moved by a double paddle. This secret weapon could be a circular warship that could rotate and fire in a 360 degree arc. The central gear wheels allowed for independent movement of the two mechanical paddles. If while firing the ship rotates, the crew can open, clean and reload the gun that is quickly ready to fire again. A round shield can protect the vessel, making it a warship with 18 bombards. That genius of Leonardo Da Vinci doesn’t need any presentation. All his inventions and ideas written by him in the Atlantic Code were in many senses forefront. Many of these, that today we take for granted, are based on its thoughts and visions. Regarding the clock, Leonardo da Vinci wasn’t the inventor, he only improved it. The clock have two separated mechanism: one for the hours and the other for the minutes, everyone made by an elaborated connection between weights, gears and ropes. Per saperne di più

  10. Mechanical Lion
    22,00 €

PRM booklet not included from Jule 2013 Sheets 90/v and 91/r of the Madrid Code include drawings of “strange” mechanisms that are not linked to the treatise on mechanics and often have no explanatory text. Analysing them led to the reconstruction of mechanisms enabling a mysterious animal, a mechanical lion, to move robotically. The lion, a gift from Pope Leone X and the town of Florence, was taken to Lyon, in France; on July 12 1515, at the end of a surprising, magical walk before the King of France, Francis I, it stopped knocking some lilies over. It can be considered one of the first animal-like robots ever built. Per saperne di più
