The first kit shows the Lunar Module (LM), christened Eagle, which landed on the southern Sea of Tranquility on July 20, 1969. The first astronaut to set foot on lunar soil was Neil Armstrong, followed by Buzz Aldrin. The LM spent less than 24 hours on the Moon’s surface, while the Command Module (CM) named Columbia orbited above. The spacecraft then returned to Earth on 24 July, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. In this larger scale, the LM model possesses even more refined detail. The kit utilizes all-new toolings to match the new scale. Of special note is the heat-reflecting material under the module. The wrinkled surface is pre-painted in the appropriate gold color. Since it’s difficult for modelers to paint this reflective material realistically, such a thoughtful touch will save time and will result in an even higher-quality model. The LM is depicted in its landing mode with four legs outstretched. The Apollo 11 mission was “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Now modelers can commemorate this event with this stunning “larger than life” Apollo 11 Lunar Module in 1/48 scale. 3. Titan IIIE w/Launch Pad
    0,00 €

    Non disponibile

Features: - Highly detailed - True to 1/400 - Highly collectible - High quality diecast construction The Titan family of expendable rockets was extremely successful, with 368 rockets launched between 1959 and 2005. The 48m-long Titan IIIE, sometimes referred to as the Titan III-Centaur, was used seven times. The name Centaur stemmed from the fact that a Centaur-D upper stage was added to boost the system’s performance. This three-stage rocket was instrumental in launching NASA’s two Voyager probes to Jupiter and Saturn, as well as the two Viking missions. The latter put instrumented landers on the surface of Mars. The Titan IIIE was used from 1974-77, with all missions blasting off from Cape Canaveral. Dragon's 1/400 scale model shows an impressive Titan IIIE rocket positioned on its launch pad awaiting blastoff. The pre-painted model is highly accurate and is fully detailed, including the correct markings. It comes with its special high-specific-impulse Centaur upper stage, a totally new part, which gives it a completely different appearance to the Titan IIIC released previously. The model also features two huge strap-on solid rocket boosters. For folk who wish to become more familiar with the Titan family of rockets, this is a must-have item! Per saperne di più
