Dragon has created a “killer kit” with a 1/35 scale version of this important tank destroyer! It’s based on the company’s Panzer IV Smart Kit family, but it boasts a great many new parts. As a Smart Kit, there’s a one-piece lower hull, convenient Magic Tracks and on-vehicle tools featuring crisp detail. The fighting compartment is made by slide mold so that no multipart assembling is necessary. The schurzen side screens follow the same design of those used on the Panzer IV J Late Production kit (Item No.6575), these having already attracted praise from modelers. Of special interest, too, is the MP44 Vorsatz “P”. This mounted weapon with a curved barrel could be used to protect blind-spots not covered by the mounted MG42 machine gun. The gun breech is fully represented, and it can be viewed through the open roof hatches. This Panzer IV L/70(A) was announced earlier in 2011, and the wait has been well worth it! 47,00 €Dragon’s new 1/35 scale model of the Sturm-Infanteriegeschutz 33 completes the ‘33B’ family. A new part is the front plate with its two associated hatches. It shares the same slide-molded fighting compartment superstructure, internal details such as the mount for the sIG33 gun, and large stowage boxes on the rear deck. The metal gun barrel even has realistic rifling so that it looks exactly right. The running gear and DS Tracks have been borrowed from Dragon’s newest Panzer III kits, meaning they’re of the highest quality. Around 14,000 Sd.Kfz.10 halftracks were built from 1938-45. Several specialist vehicles were based on this halftrack design, among them the Sd.Kfz.10/5. This vehicle had a platform on the rear for carrying an anti-aircraft 2cm FlaK 38 cannon. The purpose-built platform had fold-down sides and rear to give the crew more workspace when in combat. The weapon system was used by both the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, and of course the weapon could be equally effective against ground targets. In 1943, the Luftwaffe ordered 293 sets of Behelfspanzerung (armor plates) to protect its Sd.Kfz.10/5 antiaircraft halftracks. Per saperne di più -

15,00 €The box-top illustration shows four Soviet soldiers dressed for winter combat. They wear uniform gear such as greatcoats, sheepskin jackets, toques, mittens/gloves and fur boots. The action poses are very suitable for depicting a combat scene in the snow and ice, and the sculpting of the plastic is sharp and realistic. The soldiers also wield weapons suitable for this time period of 1941, including Mosin-Nagant rifles and a DP28 light machine gun. Of course the figures could also find application in a different setting (in the winter fighting against Finland, for example) so they will prove very versatile. This new Dragon set will find a niche amongst modelers as there is little else available representing this period of the Great Patriotic War. Per saperne di più
