With its posterior longitudinal engine V12 and fascinating body, designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the two-seater redefined the concept of a sports car. At its debut the Miura was the fastest production car in the world: With a speed over 280 kph and an acceleration from 0-100 kph in 5,1 seconds the Lamborghini Miura set new standards in the sports car segment. The original Miura P400 was produced between 1966 and 1968, but the success story did not end there: The Miura was first developed further into the Miura S (1968-1971) with 370 HP and later into the Miura SV (1971-1973), which had wider mud guards and a greatly revamped 385 HP engine with separate lubricating systems for engine and gearbox. The Volkswagen Beetle is a real milestone in the Automotive History. The first model went into production before the Second World War and it were characterized immediately for an impressive reliability, a unique design, and a strong personality. The real commercial success, however, started from the end of the war. In fact the VW Beetle became one of the symbols of German industrial growth during the '50s and' the 60s. During the years several improvements and innovations has been adopted but never changed drastically the good original project and the unique design. On 1972 the “1303 model”, characterized by more modern aesthetic solution as the curved windscreen and a new shape of the rear lights, has been launched on the market. Mercedes Benz 540K One of the most beautiful automobiles of its time, the Mercedes Benz 540K was built from 1936-39. One unit is still shown in various parts of the world by Mercedes for promotion purposes. The car had a 8-cylinder 5.4 l engine and weighed no less than 2300 kg. The car was originally equipped with a fuel injection engine from 2479 cc capable of delivering power of 163 hp. and made according to the Transaxle concept (rear engine and front shifter). The 944 was produced in different versions with different engines and extensive redesign of the interior in coupe and convertible configurations. In particular, the S variant, introduced in 1987, was equipped with a 16 valve engine generating 189hp and able to achieve speeds from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.2 seconds. 9800 were built. Lamborghini countach 25th anniversary Final version of the glorious Countach, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Lamborghini, boasts numerous improvements, were in fact changed about 3,000 of the 8,000 pieces that make up the car. Much of the aesthetic innovations derived from the prototype Countach Evoluzione in 1986, the first supercar in the world made of carbon fiber. The air box and the air intakes were redesigned and enlarged and were mounted of miniskirts , the geometry of the suspension was modified. The improved aerodynamics allowed a maximum speed of 300 km / h. This was the last version made the Countach, which remained in production until 1990 when it was replaced by the Diablo.
